I can't wait to see what WF cuts for you!!! OMG the 3.4 H VS1 is going back into WF inventory?!
Note to self: stay OFF whiteflash.com
Congrats @mrs-b
Your 4ct ACA will be gorgeous. How do you plan to set it?
Who is R&G? Her 3-stone is ginormous! Can't imagine how big 5ctw would be, my 3.27 ctw 3-stone covers my size 4.5 finger, and we had to taper the side stones to get it yo fit.
Hi @m-2-b
Depending on when you trade it, I may well trade the stone I'm getting up to your 4.7. Having *just* done a trade up, I wouldn't be ready to do another one for another year. My other alternative is to wait 2 years then kick in the last chunk of money, and go up to an H color, which is where I'm more comfortable. After a certain point, I care more about the color than the size, and I have as yet to see how much this new I colored stone bothers me - if at all.
Is yours a high I, a middle I, or a low I? Did anyone from WF ever give you an opinion on that? And compared to what scale - GIA or AGS? A while back I had an AGS stone which was considerably warmer than my GIA stone, which was color graded one grade lower. So the AGS color grading scale worries me a little. My 3.4 AGS H colored diamond, however, is very white. So it seems somewhat to be the luck of the draw.
My ideal stone is a 4.5ct H VS. But I know I'm talking around 100k for that, and I just can't bring myself to spend that much on a dot on my finger. So where I'm going with this trade might be where I stay. Ideally, I'd like to do a plain solitaire, but the tint might force me into halos and all that stuff. I can see myself compromising on a 4ct H VS stone. We'll see.....
Omg! So exciting! Keep us posted!I know this isn't really relevant to this forum - but I had to tell SOMEBODY......
My ACA is on its way to AGS for grading!
