Let me know what information you can provide on a 3 carat loose diamond. IGI Dimension 9.02 X 8.92 x 5.80mm. Is the carat weight should br 2.8 not 3 carat? Measurment is only 9.02 vs other 3 carat is 9.3.
Tablet 55.5% depth 64.6% vvs1 I Color , very slight fluorescence. What is a good price to pay for this type of cut and carat size?

64.6? yikes
Post the report # please.
$29.95 sounds about right. lol

Compared to another diamond 2.82 carat but dimension 9.355x9.27mx5.38m. IF I Color but listed as on 2.82 carat. Why 2.82 carat when measurment is big as 3 carat measurment? Any info to explain the cut, dimension, weight of this diamond 2.
82 vs 3 carat diamond listed above?

More of the weight of the 3ct diamond is in the bottom of it (the depth), which you can't see from the top. That's why the surface area is smaller, and part of why it isn't recommended.

See the diamond cut for the 2.82 carat and 3 carat.

Hello and welcome to PriceScope, @jstorm !

This is likely a steep-deep diamond, as I'm seeing the depth at 64.6% - IGI is typically not recommend for earth grown diamonds, as GIA and AGS have a higher value.

What are the proportions and angles?

Its an interesting combo that is rarely seen these days.
That said the spread sux and the 3ct premium is way to high to make it worth while.
The other diamond has a very low crown angle and a huge table.
Its a flat top with compromised light performance.

NM...I didn't see that you had posted the screenshots of the grading report when I posted this comment.

I would recommend that you search for diamonds in the recommended proportions ranges and get Ideal-Scope or ASET images to validate optical performance.

See next image attached of another diamond option? Better cut?

No...it's better, but the steep crown angle would give me pause, so I'd need to see ASET images to verify the overall light return and optical performance.

I'd urge you to take a close look at the recommended proportions link and start fresh in your search.

How go I get aset images?

We would be happy to help you search if you let us know your budget.

Both of the options you posted are badly cut. If you let us know your desired proportions and budget we can help!

What about this 3c. It's IF. Cut and porportion better?

Even though it scores well on the HCA, it will be a somewhat flat-looking diamond with more brilliance than fire. We usually recommend diamonds with more balanced performance. Also, we generally advise sticking with GIA and AGS for natural diamonds, as the other labs can be soft on grading. An I IF, for example, might be more like a J or K VVS.

Do either of these fit your budget?

Thank you for the link. I prefer I or higher in color.

So IGI not a good graded lab compared to GIA and AGS? So you don't think the 3 carat image attached is good cut? It's says IF and excellent cut?3c IF.jpg

IGI is a very good lab, but they are not as highly regarded in the industry as GIA and AGS for EGDs.
I feel that they've made some positive strides to be better, but they are still viewed with a bit of a stigma, and that becomes a risk that the consumer must take on.

IGI's top cut grade is listed as so:

Cut Grade: IDEAL
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Excellent

Any diamond graded by IGI that's not "IDEAL" needs to be seriously scrutinized even more so, the same as if the diamond wasn't AGS Triple Zero or GIA Triple Excellent.
Scrutinizing should be performed, regardless, but a diamond that doesn't pop the top cut grade from any reputable lab (GIA, AGS, GCAL, and IGI for North America) should be moved to your back burner list while you focus on purchase options that have a grading lab's top cut grade, off the bat.
