Oh, how I miss Charlotte Douglas airport! So civilized compared to NY/NJ airports! I'm actually petrified of flying, especially alone, but nothing like a shot of courage before getting in the air.

LOL, I would think the thought of actually meeting "The Boss" after working for him for 8 years would be scarier than flying. You may need two shots of courage...

(For those who do not know, Melissa is my very valued assistant whom I have never met in person. The Internet is such a wonderful place! This wonderful lady has done more for me working from home with her four children than I could have ever imagined when I first hired her to answer my emails all those years ago.)

I feel the same way! I can't believe I have to wait 4.5 more months! Although I basically planned in my mind last year that I was going to go, so I've really been waiting a long time. Another 4.5 months won't kill me.

That's exactly where I'm at, AW! When last year's came around, I was right at the end of a crucial evaluation period at work, and DH and I were about to sign on the dotted line for a house, so it wasn't an option. But I vowed then that I'd make this years! Just waiting to hear about a potential work reassignment which will determine when I can fly in!

I take that to mean that those were the requirements to register as of 1-10-13, but you can continue to post and register when you pass the mark? Huh. Now I don't know!

To clarify as of 1-10-13 you had to have at least 100 posts OR 6 months of membership with 50 posts to be eligible. This is for security so individuals don't see the get together, see it as an opportunity to do some unscrupulous things, and then register to attend.

If you did not meet the requirements as of the announcement date (1-10) you must wait until next year to attend.

We apologize for any inconvenience but it is for everyone's safety.

It is the little things like this that allow some of us vendors to feel comfortable bringing a few things to share with the attendees like we did last year.

None of us are bringing a gazillion dollars worth of things, but getting hit on the head even for a few small things is not fun.
