OK, this is it. No more stone purchases for me - nada, null, zilch! until I set these.
Got a diamond to go with my sapphire and peridot. Now I'm thinking of setting them all on separate Daniel_M Freke pendants so I can mix and match them with different length chains.
Re: 3rd Asscher - somebody slap me & tell me to set these ba
WEll, I'm not going to slap you, but I'm going to clap and say - AWESOME!!!
That sounds like a great idea, because then you have the flexibility of wearing all or just one - so if you are doing them individually, think about having jump rings put in a different lengths. For example, with a 17" pendant, have a ring at 18" and 19" so they can be longer or shorter.
Alternatively, would you ever consider setting them just as you've posted them? Maybe not in a fixed 3 position, but perhaps the #2 could dangle off of #1 and #3 off of #2???
Re: 3rd Asscher - somebody slap me & tell me to set these ba
You sure know how to pick 'em! I've been trying to take group pictures to save time, but there's always one stone which is looking the other way or has their eyes closed I can't believe how good they all look in your photos - the peridot is really trying to steal the show though.

Hi Kelpie, good to see you!
If you have a minute, can you pop over to the thread on Wash DC appraiser and answer the question we have - you're just the sort of expert I had in mind...TIA
Re: 3rd Asscher - somebody slap me & tell me to set these ba
Thanks everybody! I am really, really, really pleased with all of them together. Gypsy, in Rocky Talky, helped me pick the diamond. I think she was surprised I didn't want a bigger stone but I told her it had to be smaller than the sapphire and the peridot. I guess, they don't get that many requests like that in Rocky Talky.
Jeremi, LOL and thanks! Yes, pictured together, they certainly put the C-A-N-D-Y back into eyecandy.
Enerchi, great idea, thanks! I think I'll ask Daniel to use his own ingenuity to come up with something. It would be great if I could wear them both as separate pendants and as a single pendant when the mood strikes.
minousbijoux, thanks! I just love these stones together. Somehow my group pictures look better than the single stone closeups. Probably something about the auto-focusing feature of the camera.
Upgradable, oops, remind me not to get you so excited next time. heehee! Thanks for stopping by!
kelpie, thanks so much! I really like them. Everybody has been such a great help.
JewelFreak, Hi thanks so much. I think you were one of the ones that was so encouraging last year when I started this project. I can't believe how many twists and turns it has taken.
lula, hi, thanks! I like the 3 pendant idea too. It will be torture waiting to see what Daniel_M comes up with.
Re: 3rd Asscher - somebody slap me & tell me to set these ba
This is from the DBL website, and shown as earrings, but what if this style of design could be adapted to suspend the 3 stones vertically? or Maybe Daniel M could set up a way of attaching the different stones when you want 1, 2 or all 3???
Re: 3rd Asscher - somebody slap me & tell me to set these ba
Thanks for looking in, Starzin, Laila619 and woofmama!
Enerchi, those earrings look mega-cool! I think I'll leave the problem to Daniel_M and see what he comes up with. I don't even know whether I want them kite set or not - or one kite set and the others straight. Hmmm, the possibilities are endless. I do know I want to have a bit of space between the stones so they're not jammed up next to each other.
Re: 3rd Asscher - somebody slap me & tell me to set these ba
*SLAP* Get them set!!!!!
Seriously though, whilst I like the idea of a pendant, when you're wearing it you won't see it. Are rings out of the question?
If you do go for a pendant(s) I would agree with others that the idea of being able to wear just one / two or three is a great idea so I would definitely have one that is flexible.
