Is the 40% chance all day? Or maybe it will dwindle in chance by the time of your ceremony? Regardless, I hope it doesn''t rain at all, anywhere near your wedding day!!!

Oh lots can change weather-wise between now and then!! I wouldn''t worry just yet!

you can never tell this early, it predicted rain for the whole week and a half leading up to my wedding day, and on the day of it was sunny and gorgeous!!!

***fingers crossed*** that your wedding day will be sunny lovely and not humid!

One consolation though... if it DOES happen to rain (and I''m sure it won''t with all these good vibes coming your way!), make sure you have a large old-fashioned looking black umbrella, and have your photographer take black and white pix of you and your guy outside in the rain. I knew someone who did that, and they were THE greatest wedding pix... just something to keep in mind!

I had an outdoor wedding where rain was predicted. It actually did sprinkle early in the day but my wedding coordinator refused to try and move it all inside. By the time our ceremony started there wasn''t a cloud in site and the sun was just starting to set. It was perfect and your day will be too.

I Love, love, love the idea to bring an old fashioned umbrella and do outside pics in the rain. How incredibly romantic

Don''t worry yet, the weather can so easily change by then!!!

My photographer showed us some pics of a couple that got married on a rainy day with the most beautiful pics of them under a black umbrella!!! So worst case senario, you are still going to get some awesome, awesome pics!!

I''ve got my fingers crossed for you Ginger!
But I do like the black umbrella pictures idea---

I''ll keep my fingers crossed for you and send you some good juju :)

Metereology isn''t an exact science and there''s a great possibility they are wrong, look at how many times they predicted snow and we didn''t get one flake! No worries, this is your day

thanks for all the crossed fingers and anti-rain dances...you ladies are really too sweet! i''m trying to not think about it too much (although i am checking weather.com everyday) and i know that no matter if it rains or is sunny and cloudless, i''ll be married at the end of the day and that all i REALLY want. although a little sunshine can''t hurt!

anyway...today, the forcast is 30% on my wedding day so whatever you guys are doing....keep it up!

oh and for the umbrella pics...ya''ll mean like this?

ginger you''ve been in Houston long enough to know that the forecast is never accurate a week in advance. I know you will have a beautiful wedding day. We planned our ceremony indoors, but if the weather is cool enough we''ll move ours outside.

I''m sending tons of good weather karma your way!

No rain! No rain! No rain!

And even if it does, I''ve been to some lovely rainy weddings! (I think the gray skies and rain would give your wedding an atmosphere of romance and mystery!) Bring lots of extra black umbrellas for your bridal party too (if you''re having one) The group pics would be incredible!

No no NO it absolutely can not rain on your wedding day b/c you had rain on your e-pic day and that would be just TOO unkind of mother nature. She won''t do it.

I''ll pray for sun for you on May 6 as I pray for it for myself for the same day!!!! Crossing everything...fingers, toes, legs...

I started the 10 day weather.com watch as soon as I could for my wedding, and the weather changed on an hourly basis I swear! It went from rainstorms to clouds to thunderstorms to drizzle to sun. By the day of, the weather was gorgeous 70 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. So anything can happen! Here''s sending you good sunshine filled thoughts!!!

Everyone''s right--you just won''t know until the day of the wedding! I got married outside, too, and I swear every weekend before our wedding for a month it rained ALL weekend, and rain was forecasted for our date as well. Guess what? Blue skies and big white puffy clouds all day for us!

I love your umbrella picture, gingerb! Adorable!

There''s still a 60% chance that it won''t rain!! Here''s some PS sun for your wedding

Remember Tropical Storm Charley in August of 2004...that was my wedding day in New England!!! We had a beachy, seashell themed wedding all planned and some things had to change. We had to get married on the deck of our reception venue rather than on the lawn. Completely no big deal. And I am the ultimate beach girl! I stressed so much about the weather before the actual day though, so I know how you feel! We were married in Gloucester, Mass. and the crashing waves after the storm made for quite the "party" atmosphere and the pictures we took outside by the Atlantic Ocean were pretty spectacular! Have you heard the song "Laughter in the Rain" by Neil Sedaka? We heard it a couple of weeks after our wedding and both thought it would have made the perfect wedding song for our day!!! So if it rains, consider having that song played!

Hope this helps!

Well thank the lord you''re not getting married today Ginger! Rain this weekend means SUN next weekend!

You know, before we started planning this whole wedding, I promised myself that we would get married INSIDE somewhere, my theory being that I am such a worrier, that I''ll be watching the weather DAILY--- worrying, worrying, worrying...
Well, I didn''t keep my promise to myself, we''ve got an outdoor wedding planned, so now I''m worried that I''ll be worrying!
I guess that it''s comforting to see that others do the same!
Ginger, if it helps at all, I''m worrying for YOU TOO! Got my fingers super crossed.
Come on sunshine, beautiful garden wedding!

Oh cute rainy-day engagement-pic, Ginger!! The girl that I knew who had rainy-day wedding pix used one of those old-fashioned looking umbrellas... really big and sort of deep, with a long cane-type handle on the end that curves up... do you know what I mean? They also had rented an old-fashioned looking Rolls-Royce, and they had pix of her stepping out of the car, and him helping her out with one hand and holding the umbrella over her with the other hand... SO neat. Anyway, lots of luck to you!

I saved this pic mainly because of the color of the bridesmaid dresses, but also because of the rain and umbrellas.

Rain on your wedding day is good luck.

Have a back up plan ready to go. Maybe the showers will have cleared up and you''ll have rainbows out when you exchange your vows!

ginger that''s such an awesome picture of you guys...

we got lucky with our w-day...it was ROASTING HOT though that day in hawaii, so hot that in the evening it was still hot and everyone was sweating a blue streak (but still having a grand ole time)...well that NIGHT a huge storm blew in and literally blew tables and chairs across the lawn, blew over a TREE out near the water etc. and then it rained and drizzled and was gray all the next day and the day after til we left for tahiti. i was SO HAPPY we had gotten sun and hot weather on the day we did. what luck.

anyway, i hope it doesn''t rain on your day but if it does, you guys will still get some amazing pictures and have more ''exciting'' memories to talk about later...but i''ll keep my fingers crossed for sun.

sigh...it''s now 50-70%. looks like there''s no hope for me

Don''t worry just yet, my FI''s sister''s wedding was planned for outside (that is the only reason she choose the location she did) and on the day of her wedding it was supposed to downpour all day long. Even the night before it said it was still going to rain, but behold, it was bright and sunny for most of the day

Also, two Septembers ago we went to a wedding on Long Island. It was absolutely DOWNPOURING when we left in the morning, to the point where roads were flooded (it was the remnants of some hurricane/tropical storm). When we arrived, can you believe that it was sunny?! Everything was glistening in the sun, and we got the ceremony and most of the reception over with before the bad weather started again. Of course, we did end up losing power at the reception, but heck, it was still fun! LOL
