I know this is extremely silly given the current situation with our world right now, but jewelry is my escape. My 40th birthday was in March and I want something to commemorate this milestone. I am debating between a Cartier bracelet or a second diamond ring. My current engagement ring is my lovely antique moval in my avatar and I love it. However, there are days or times when I don’t want to be as flashy and was thinking of a 1ct mrb. I am so undecided. What would you choose and why? Help me decide.
Thank you!

Hello, and a belated happy birthday to you!! I would be partial to a Cartier love bracelet, but thats because i know I'd wear it all the time. Those are two wonderful choices, which do you think you'd wear more?

My dilemma is 1) I have lots of rings. The other ring I wear on low key days is either my bezel set .5ct band or my 7 diamond ring with my rose gold plain band. If I buy a diamond I would most likely wear that one instead of my smaller ring. However, this isn’t a good investment - diamonds never are. I believe they’re more important with meaning (engagement, anniversary, etc.).
2) I don’t wear bracelets on a day to day basis. I love them but I don’t have a solid beautiful piece. I just wear my Apple Watch. However, I know Cartier is a good investment piece. If I go with Cartier, I am deciding between the small love bracelet, the JUSTE un Clou or the love cuff. Why am I so undecided?!?!

I am the same about my rings. If I don't want to wear my solitaire, I just wear one of my diamond bands instead. It sounds like you are not really feeling the diamond. I would get something that you would really love and cherish, even if you don't wear it often. And, something that makes you smile when you do! I'd love to see/hear what you decide! :)

How about a one carat solitaire diamond necklace? They’re beautiful and classic!

I have many necklaces so that is out. Although, a beautiful gift for sure. I was thinking of getting a one carat AGS diamond ring and upgrade later.

Get the Cartier. I finally got mine a year ago and I’m still absolutely thrilled with it.

my bday is coming up soon and I had a diamond bangle custom made to stack with the Love... low key regretting not just getting another Love:confused:

I say go with the Cartier bracelet! It's such a classic piece. Would you consider a diamond bangle or tennis bracelet? Plus, you already have a fabulous moval ring!

If you're looking for an alternate ring, you could reset a Lightbox 1ct round pendant into a solitaire. It won't be an earth mined AGS that you can upgrade, but it would check the smaller 1ct MRB box for probably less than $1.5K depending on the setting.

I vote for the Cartier love bracelet. I never thought much of them but last fall my hubby surprised me with a trip to Cartier while in Paris to get me one. I was unsure and being a ring fanatic almost didn’t want to get one. But now I absolutely love it. It IS such a classic, timeless piece.

it‘s the rose gold edition. I thought it wouldn’t match my antique pieces, but it plays ok. It’s my only brand jewellery I have.

It sounds like you won't wear the ring. I'd do the bracelet, or think on it more until you are sure.

I’ll have to make an appointment for the Cartier store and try them on first. They just opened this week and you have to make an appointment. That’s the only way I’ll know.

If the Cartier doesn't move you - how about a diamond bangle? Best of both worlds - you will have a bracelet and blingy diamonds!!!
