5 (+12) stone antique band from DiamondZone

Sometimes the credit card is just humming with anticipation --- nothing on the horizon, no thoughts in my head... then WHAM! ... an idea hits and I simply MUST satisfy that craving. I hate it when that happens... (sometimes )

When I was in Chicago and we had our lovely GTG with some PSers and ended up at DiamondZone (this is the SMTB thread about that visit - [URL='https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/diamond-zone-rolls-out-the-red-carpet.188362/']https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/diamond-zone-rolls-out-the-red-carpet.188362/[/URL]) and I saw this ring... but chose to buy the yellow sapphire baguette band instead. While emailing Ilya recently about something else, he sent me a listing for 2 bands he had on his site --- and lo and behold, the one I had debated about, was still available!

Destiny? Meant to be? Karma? I don't know ... but outta no where, my credit card came flying from my purse into my hand and it had clicked "ADD TO CART" before I knew what hit me! Bad credit card...bad!

Here is my new lovely! 14K wg, size 8, F/G, SI 1-2, .50 tcw, 3.5mm width tapering to about 1.5mm on the band. I think it looks PERFECT w my OEC but I'm also loving wearing it stacked with my IDJ 1/2 eternity and the DBL micro pave in between. So many options --- which I'm going to post all sort of configurations here!

Great guy to deal with and quite enjoyed chatting with him! They are on eBay but if you are in Chicago, just like we did in April, it is worth popping in to visit.

Full disclosure - I was the anti-enabler at our GTG and talked Enerchi out of buying it then. It's stunningly gorgeous of course I just didn't have the vision that she has for awesome combinations and stacks! It's a great addition to your fantastic collection. I'm so glad it was still available and that you snatched it up! Yay!!!!!

Wow, I have to read about your trip to Diamond Zone, thank you for the link. The daft thing with me is I found out about Diamond Zone just a couple of weeks AFTER we came home from Chicago . Oh well, next time it is definitely on the list.

Thanks everyone!!! I seem to have identified that I'm definitely drawn to bands... I know I have MILES to go before I could even think of catching up to Motownmama (43 and counting!!) but what I adore is their flexibility and how you can mix and match - never a dull jewelry day! (as *IF* there could ever be a "dull jewelry day" - what am I thinking? )

This is a lovely little trinket that I'm very glad was still available, a few months after first seeing it. Sometimes, things just work out right!

DeeJay - I tried it on and probably even talked to you about it! lol - it was a bit busy and there may or may not have been a few glasses of sparkling wine consumed --- I don't think its your memory issues at 42, its the distractions of all the other lovely diamonds we were looking at, that is throwing you off!! Next trip to Chicago, I'll show it off to you!

Woofmama - Oh, I'm still thinking about your OEC 3 stone and it haunts me -- "oh yes, one day, it *will* be mine..." (Wayne's World, Party on!)

Charleston - if you get back to Chicago again, definitely have a visit with DiamondZone!! They have a lot of lovely antique and repro pieces they can show you! Its at 5 Wabash S (the Jewellers Building) and we also stopped in at Dimend Scassi when were there as well. I have no idea who else is in the building, but all the storefronts around there had a fabulous sparkly display going on. Kind of like Diamond District in NYC!

Rosebloom- the "anti - enabler"!! hahahaha!! Good one!! I could only get one thing when I was there in April and I love what I bought then. But when it was still available --- weeeeeeee!! ---- I was able to snap it up! It sparkles and makes me happy and it plays nicely with all its new friends, so I'm very happy!! Hope we can meet again when I get back to Chicago! Lou Malnoti's??? Deep dish, anyone???


Laila - isn't that OVERKILL shot incredible!? In the original larger picture, my finger is turning purple!! I kinda had to crop out that part And I really love how my turquoise iPhone case shows in all the sparkles!! hahaha!

YT, Catmom, RubiesRMe, Elisateach and Ashleigh! Thank so much everyone - yes indeed, I think I have too much ( I know I just blew up the PS server with that thought... "TOO MUCH"...!!) but I don't know what I'd pare it down to, so I guess I have to keep the economy rolling and keep adding to my collection!

Elisateach - my MC is feeling very ashamed of her outburst and is hiding in my wallet right now, afraid to come out except for stops at the gas station, where she is VERY not tempted to spend on anything "fun" there!

RubiesR Me - yes it is unusual with the vertical bars/struts/?? across it , and the tension mount for the 5 stones. I liked it when I first saw it in APril, and I'm very glad that it was still available now!! You and I had just spent about an hour trying on bands at IDJ so those were running thru my head - I wasn't expecting to be so drawn to something out of my normal comfort zone!!
