Hi all,

I have the chance to get an OEC that is about 7mm in diameter (no pics yet, sorry!). I currently have a diamond that measures 6.23 x 6.25mm. Do you think this size increase will be a noticeable difference or not really? Thanks much! :)

Yes, you will absolutely see a difference. I have diamonds that are 6mm, 6.5mm, and I have a 7mm cz earring (because I got a set of cz earrings to decide on sizes!). Let me see if I can get a picture for you.

This is a little easier. Here is a picture of a 1 ct. at 6.5mm and the next stone is 1.3 cts, 7mm. Your 6.2mm stone is smaller than the first stone, so you can get an idea.

Yes! :lickout:

Thanks, DS and Pregcurious!

DS, thanks for that picture. Honestly, it really doesn't look like a huge difference to me! :o What is wrong with me?!

It will be in person, at least I think so!

It it totally and completelt a huge difference. My first RB was 6.2mm and my upgrade was 6.8mm, about the same difference, and the difference in size was huge and completely noticable in person. Like you, I looked at pictures like the one DS posted and thought "meh", but once it was on my hand, totally obvious.

I think 7mm is the point where on my hand a diamond looks "big", and I did not feel that way about the 6,2mm.

on your finger it will definitely be noticeable. what i did during the shopping process was actually draw different sized stones on my fingers at home :sun:

go for gold - go bigger!

Yep!!! My old stone I believe was a 6mmish and this one is literally just under 7mm. It was VERY noticeable. Then again shrinkage set in quickly anyway. lol

Just adding my yes opinion to this thread Laila. I agree it is a big difference and all other things being equal I would go for the bigger one. Good luck!
