We also thought of doing the 7/7/07 thing, and since at one time we were doing a Vegas wedding (too much stress with family travel), we thought of the invitations saying, "Amber and Paul have played the slots of life, and they''ve hit the jackpot! Come celebrate our union on 7/7/07" (not written that way of course) "when Amber and Paul hope to make their luck last a lifetime!" Cheesy, I know. We''re now on for November 10th, 2007. Stupid coaching schedules, he''s trying to move it where we can do it sometime there isn''t a friggin'' football game. I just gave him the ol'' stinkeye and told him he''d better figure out how to postpone the game for a few weeks.

.....If you order it from Amazon you can pay extra and have it delivered the day it comes out, then you could be reading instead of waiting in line.

Oh, I know, that''s what I usually do, but he would probably object to me sitting up all night and reading it, too! Unless we got two copies, of course...

You are right. It is a very popular date. I am new to this forum today, so I appologize if I repeat anything anyone else has said. My fiance and I picked 7/7/2007 back in early January. The plans began at that point. We were able to secure our church with no problem. Our reception site was booked without a problem. Limos were a little more difficult. My fiance and I wanted to travel in the H2 Hummer and we had some difficulty finding a limo company who was not booked for that date. Photography was another big one we had trouble with. Photographers are getting slammed on that date. We had to inquire with 9 or 10 high quality photographers prior to finding one who was available on that date. And even the one we secured, only had one more slot for that day. I hope this has steered you in the right direction....or helped you in some way. And congrats to you!!!

When I asked my photographer early last year, he didn''t even have his 2007 calendar yet! So I made him put a note in December of his calendar to book me for 7-7-7!! 14 months away.......!!!

I want 7/7/07 party because of the date and partly because we have a small window next summer in which we can have the wedding, my only concern is that since it will be a DW I am worried about people who have July 4 traditions

We''re aiming for 7-7-07, but it had little to do with the date. We, too, had a small window of opportunity that summer. Haven''t booked anything yet, but we''re getting married in Poland, where it isn''t really customary for people to book things as far a head (usually 6 months or so)... I''m hoping we''ll be alright.

If not, we can always push it forward or back by one week. We''ll see.
