Hi,

I am looking at the whiteflash diamond bangle (tossing up between this and a custom pendant), but as I have a 7" wrist I'm worried it might be a little too snug. Does anyone with a similar size wrist have a photo comparison please. I need to make a quick decision too which isn't helping me!

Thank you

This may not help you, but I'm kind of going through the same thing right now....
It was suggested that I might visit the WF showroom, .... however....
I am going to have a difficult time actually getting to WF since their showroom
is not open on weekend.

So what I did was measure my wrist with strings and then measure out the
circumferences of their tennis bracelet and their bangle.

Then I tried the strings on.

Then I went one better, and walked into a Jareds in my town and actually tried on their
tennis bracelets and a couple bangles..... I think the sizes of these items are relatively standard...
7 inches for the tennis bracelet, not sure of the bangle...

I can say, although they fit, the tennis bracelet was a wee bit snug
FOR MY TASTE..... it did fit, and I "could" sneak a finger between the bracelet and my
wrist, (just barely) but I did not find it comfortable and did not enjoy the look....

The bangle appeared to fit well ~ much better than the tennis bracelet.....
and it actually looked quite nice...

My wrist is just shy of 7" around, but my hands are larger and something looser on my wrist suits me better....

Don't know if this helps you or not.... good luck with your search.....
let us know what you end up with and post pics, ok?
I will be waiting to see :sun:

I do not know for sure about the bangle, but I know for sure in the case of the tennis bracelets that they can special order longer lengths of the settings. They probably can for the bangles as well. But that probably constitutes a special order which means the item cannot be returned.

Thanks for that ooh-shiney and DS2006, I've just had my DBTY bracelet shortened as it had been very loose and I managed to snag and break it, but now its a snug fit and I'm to sure about it. I think the jeweller got a bit carried away. Anyhow, its made me nervous about it. I assume if I get the stock item from Whiteflash if it doesn't fit I can return. I have asked about the sizing. I'm waiting to hear from BGD also as theirs is custom made I believe, in which case I may have a little more choice in the fit (but no return).

Aaah decisions! Given my larger wrist I'm also contemplating whether the 1ct is the right proportion, but I'd be wearing it with my DBTY fine bracelet, as well as my T&CO small bead bracelet so I think it would be a good combination. Your Thoughts? My wedding band incidentally is .05 princess cuts, so I thought the .03 rounds would be quite similar in presence ...

It's the bangle or a pendant - what would you spend your money on if you had about $2k to spend on a 40th birthday gift? I have a couple of other pendants I wear which is why I thought a bangle I can wear with everything might be the most sensible choice.

Or, I could get an aquamarine RHR ring made with a 4ct stone, which would be lovely! I've seen the cushion on Preloved, but I'm not sure it wouldn't overpower my simple 1ct cushion Ering. Ok, far too much information! Thanks for your input.

Here is a potentially poor attempt at showing my current left hand bling (I'm in the car and using my ipad so apologies ...)

No, I think you are very wise the way you are thinking it through! Those are all nice options!

I think the bangle is a very nice idea! I think it would be very pretty especially with the DBY bracelet. I might alternate it with the beaded bracelet just to keep it it a little better condition over wearing it daily, though. I always feel like I have to be careful with bangles so they don't get dents from hitting on things.

I own the 1.5ctw bangle from BGD. I don't think theirs is custom, it is on their website catalog. But definitely ask. I have small wrists, just over 6" so I can't help with pics, but maybe BGD or WF could send you the bangle before setting to try on before committing. Or maybe they could check in their office for someone w/ a similar size wrist and have them put it on and snap a pic for you. Denise at BGD is a sweetie pie if you wanted to get in touch with her. I think the 1ctw will be perfect stacked with your other bracelets! Let me know if you have any questions.

I love your two bracelets together! The bangle would really work well with that combination - throw in a 'solid' mixed with the 'flexible' of the existing ones --- good plan!

I am an 'extra lovely' wrist person and for me, I could never get a bangle on, unless it was hinged. Is this design hinged? I did find a cheap bangle at a mall that I bought just to "test drive" but it is really too narrow for me to get my hand in. Rats, it sucks being 'extra lovely'!!!

The bangle is a cast they bring in I believe? I asked WF about making it smaller and they said they couldn't, so I assume they couldn't make it bigger either :(sad
My local jeweller had a set of bangle sizers - a lot like ring sizers - that I tried on, and I wound up choosing a different bangle based on that. Maybe you could try some on for size locally?

I know I have seen a bangle larger than 7" on ebay, etc. It may be that 7" is the smallest stock size and they have to special order larger (but WF may not use a source that offers larger). I'll see what I can find.

Thanks DS and LizzyAnn, I appreciate your enabling! Yes Enerchi, it is a hinged bangle (I know what you need with fixed ones), Yssie I've never heard of a sizer but its a good idea! DS I. Am very interested to hear about the one you've mentioned, and I can do a search too.

Are we in agreement that a bangle will be better than a pendant? The pendant would have been a little like this:

The advantage with the pendant is that I can put it on a chain exactly the right length, and I can put a pink diamond in the centre. But, I already have other necklaces I enjoy wearing too.

I guess I will speak up as an enabler for a pendant.....

I wear a pendant every day, I have several...
I recently bought a GORGEOUS pre-loved OEC pendant
(thank-you, BURK !!!)
and I reeeeally really love it!

That being said, it means that I am not wearing my other ones....

If you get a bangle, you can potentially wear all your wrist-bling
(and see it) at the same time..... so that's nice...

I have a couple of silver bangles that are not hinged,
and I wear them every day...
(They were the size "large" to go over my hand)
I really love them, so that's why I am not in a particular hurry on a
bracelet or bangle...

But I do love my pendants, and the idea you have for yours sounds lovely!!!!
