Hello all!
Excited to share my 10-year anniversary gift - a .76 I VS1 AVC set by Maytal Hannah in unplated white gold.
I initially looked at AVCs and a variety of rounds, but while I've long appreciated AVCs in pictures, I'd never seen one in person - so my very supportive husband, our slightly less supportive toddler, and I made the trip out to LI to meet with Jonathan (who was wonderful!). I loved everything we saw, but we didn't jump on anything right away - just thought about it obsessively for several days. I kept thinking about all the colors in this one and couldn't get it out of my head. It is really spectacular in person.
When I was thinking about settings for round diamonds (I was initially thinking I'd reset a small OEC that I already had), I had planned to go with a six-prong Tiffany-style setting and have always loved Maytal Hannah's version, so we were already in talks when I decided to go with the cushion. She has been absolutely, remarkably lovely to work with (quick responses to my many emails, professional and generous in communication, and most importantly, she very gracefully accepted feedback that led to more work on her end - with empathy and kindness, and without complaint). Maytal is a true professional and has made this whole experience, my first from-scratch custom project, a positive one. I am so thrilled with how the ring turned out.
Some pictures! First Maytal's:
And mine (I will keep practicing, sorry):

Thanks for looking!
