Oh that's a good idea.
Here's my girl who has joined our hearts and our household this year (first picture), as you can see she's a goofy one.
And here are some pictures from a couple of my others. If you look carefully there are three kitties in the last picture!

So as to be fair, here are my other two (and a couple extra pictures, just because it's a celebration). We have two black cats now. Penny (newest addition with the copper eyes that named her) and Lucy (with her green eyes and her grump).

Boxes are big thing in my house.

I'm back up to 2 kitties now, having bought the Siamese a couple posts back to go with my 12 year old rescue here.

This is Sammy - I rescued him 2 weeks ago today. Found him starving near a dumpster and with the help of my local cat rescue lady he is now gaining weight and will be ready for a forever home after the holidays. She is nurturing him back to health and I am funding his medical bills. He's a beautiful 7 year old who was abandoned by his owner. Sammy is microchipped however his owner is no longer interested in him. He's a sweet, beautiful boy!

Thank you Elliott. I'm not a huge cat person although I have three rescue cats of my own! I'm more of a dog gal. However, I could never turn my back on an animal in need. They aren't able to speak for themselves and if it just take a little money and a helping hand, then why not? So much unconditional love - you always get back much more than you give to a beloved pet!

Ande - I feel strongly that every cat household should have at least two cats How are your new addition and your twelve year old getting along? I'm so sorry for your loss but very glad to hear that your two furbabies are helping you heal!

I find myself hoping his former owner is abandoned in his old age by family that promised to care for him... preferably not near a dumpster in the US though - the rest of us will just get stuck with his medical bills.

She would if we allowed it but with the way she was packing on pounds we had to get serious about keeping it hidden. If you don't you will get a nibbled-through bread bag on the kitchen floor in the morning.

Same at my house! Although he would do more than nibble it - he'd eat right through the plastic. ETA we can't leave anything packaged on the counter that he could possibly smell through.

We've had a few friends wonder out loud if Oreo might have some Siamese in her bloodline. Probably not, but she does have those delightfully sculpted cheekbones, slightly big ears, and she talks non stop. We sometimes wonder how she has any voice left.

Not really. When I first come in the door she'll carry on a conversation with me, but other than that she doesn't talk a whole lot. She demands her laptime whenever I'm sitting, though.
