I''ve just read that Chad Michael Murray and Sophia Bush have seperated.. (I realize they were young, but they seemed veeeery happy together).
I hope they can make things work.
And for once, I wouldn''t blame the "spotlight" having any effect, since I don''t recall them hardly being in the tabloids..
it''s sad.

sorry i forgot to put the link..

didn''t they just get married a few months ago? i swear...revolving door!

They are so young I had a feeling it wasn''t going to work out.

~~I just read that article on people.com... a couple of months ago I had heard that they were having problems, but they both dismissed the reports saying that they were very happy. I wonder what happened?? The two of them seemed very in love, and they also had a very sweet wedding.

I wish them both the very best!!

haha yeah, 5 months.

actually i didn''t even know they were married, and one day i saw the pr for house of wax(they went to much music-canadian version of MTV) and he was talking about his wife.
i was just like WHAT!?
ehehe.
they were together for probably around 2 years..
proposal is described on that link, sounds cute.

It said they were married for 5 months! How does it turn so horrible in such a short time???? Is one tree hill still on the air? how awful if they have to still work together!!?!

seriously people to go through all the wedding drama and expense and then not even last 6 months? do you really NEED to get married? foolishness knows no bounds.

Color me absolutely 100% unsurprised. Seriously, he seems like such a young frat-boy jerk, I saw this coming! Hey, millions of teenieboppers are thrilled

well... i do agree with everyone will be thrilled (girl wise).
but they were 24.. that isn''t too bad,
maybe the wedding was rushed.. BUT we are talking hollywood here.. they are crazy fast paced for everything.

Obviously celebs don''t live in the land of real people and don''t always get married for the same reasons us normal folk do. I think that some of them just get caught up in the publicity and the hype of "the ring" and "the wedding" and staying in the spotlight. Sounds like these two are probably no different. Or maybe they were just too young or out of touch with reality to separate reality from the roles they get paid to play. Who knows?

I guess a diamond that cost six or seven figures and a fairytale wedding don''t always equal everlasting happiness

...at least if celebrity marriages are anything to go by...

My hubby and I just celebrated our 14th anniversary last week, and we are even happier and more in love now than we were when we got married. We''ve had ups and downs, but somehow it all works
9.gif
. I didn''t start out with a big rock on my finger (still don''t have one) and our wedding was very simple and low key, but we have a good life and more of everything than we could ever need. I wouldn''t trade any of it!

on that note suzieq, i''ll take my "boring ol''" life ANY-DAY.. lol. i''d much rather have the ups and downs of a normal personal, then always foccus on what could make my career higher.

and right now the hype is babies and marriage.
woo for fads
20.gif
, ah well, let them try and make it big with their "personal lives" (and i say this very losely).. if their night outs is what makes them a star, we can all kind of assume that in 5 years there will be a new "partier that is pregnant and is getting married after 2 weeks."

I am seriously devastated, and I know that''s silly...but "One Tree Hill" is one of my favorite shows! All the episodes for this season were probably already filmed while they were still together, but I thought they were such a cute couple. I had been wondering about the loyalty of Chad Michael Murray lately though since he''s always mentioned being seen at clubs, etc. sans Sophia Bush.

With all these celeb break-ups, when will the best one happen...when Tom Cruise is sent to the looney-bin and Katie Holmes is reverse brainwashed.

i take it back.
the new "fad" is no longer babies and marriage

its now DIVORCE SEPERATION ANULLEMENT.

fantastic.

i hope the ones who can make it work, stay strong...
heaven knows it must be hard with the schedules and pressure they live with.

It may not have been their age that caused the split. A lot of couples marry young and are able to make a success of it.

I think its more a case of stars don''t live in reality. They live a pampered life where in a lot of cases there are no consequences. They always get what they want, when they want. Marriage is about compromise - and when you get two people who are used to getting what they want all the time, of course there''s going to be trouble.

I also dont'' think their ages have anythng to do with it. It''s the celebrity lifestyle, even if they weren''t in the tabloids much, they still live in lala land. Anyway, I heard somewhere recently that the reason celebs get married so quickly and it doesn''t work is that they meet someone they like on a movie set or at a celeb event, whatever, they get bored between films, albums, etc and decide to get married to have something to do. Remember these are people that don''t get up and go to work at 6 or 7 am every day. They work for 3 months (sometimes 3-4 hours/day) and then for as much as a year, may either have another movie or none to work on. Or they work 6 months on a tv show. They also don''t really "need" the other person. They get plenty of attention and they are independently wealthy. Celebs who are married when they start usually end up divorced because they suddenly have all this attention and are living a very different life than they had before and have less time for their spouse. The celebs who are turned off to marriage (Goldie Hawn, Susan Sarandon, etc) are that way because they''ve never had a real one. They''ve had hollywood marriages and dont'' know how to be married in "real" life. There''s a lot of issues with the divorce rate in Hollywood, but it all boils down to the fact that they live very differently than the rest of this no matter how many times they get on tv interviews and talk about all the "normal" things they do like grocery shopping, laundry, etc. The fact is, most don''t and they really don''t have lives like the rest of us.

I 100% agree. WHY do they bother getting married in Hollywood!
Look at the couples who HAVE lasted....
Susan Surandon (sp) and Tim Robbins
Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell
BOTH NOT MARRIED!!!

....Well, that''s not usually true of tv actors--they actually DO have crack-of-dawn call times and pretty steady schedules (and then the summer hiatus, but it''s not 6 months off). And in most cases, days on film sets are LOOOOONG--maybe they''re only actually working for 3-4 hours, but you''re still up and out and there.

But regardless you''re absolutely right, it''s not a set of "normal" circumstances for a relationship to progress, and I think the tabloid media attention just gives these young/wealthy couples a skewed perspective of reality and accountability (or lack thereof). Seriously--why get married if it''s so disposable!!

I just heard Kathy Griffin filed for divorce with the old standby ''irreconcilable differences''. I just caught her and soon to be ex-hubby on her reality show and he seemed like he had the patience of a saint ! Another one bites the dust......I''m always sad when I heard the D word, whoever it is.

can I tell you how much I DETEST chad m m
i didn''t really know much about him until i saw a tv show on the making of that stupid house of wax movie. WHAT AN A-HOLE.

MMM, I TOTALLY agree!!!! I know nothing about the kid, I''ve NEVER watched One Tree Hill, but there''s something about him; the few talk show appearances I had seen--and then that same MTV behind the scenes thing you mention--just have made me HATE him!!!

LOL- yup, that's all it took....I immediately hated him!!

AND I can't bare that Kathy Griffen and her hubby are getting dovirced. I LOVED watching her show Life on the D List and they got along SO well. He made her laugh, etc. They seemed so real and happy. Now *that* makes me sad!

Can't say I'm surprised about these two. I've read a few stories about him cheating on her.

Chad M M seems like such a miserable jerk.

ETA - I do watch One Tree Hill though and like that show a lot. Yeah - I'm 31 yo and love OTH and Laguna Beach. What's wrong with me?
