Thank you! The garnet is one of my favorites, too. It has such fond memories attached to it. I spent a great deal of time with my grandmother and I remember her wearing it when she would get dressed up and go out.

Thank you. Here are the specs. The width is 4mm. It is roughly 3mm thick (meaning finger to the top of the band). I wanted something with a lot of metal for this piece. It is 14k white gold and from a local jeweler. I just showed them a picture of what I wanted and they ordered a setting and set the stone.
