Appletini, you went to the wedding afterall? That''s so cute that he mentioned proposing to you at the rehearsal dinner, ESPECIALLY since you weren''t even there.
I have an embarassing story that fits in with these: I attended a wedding with my bf, who was the best man. We had actually broken up but still went to the wedding together. (He was leaving the country for 3 years). His parents were there, and the bride''s parents know both of us very well. The bride''s father told me that my bf was a stupid man for not snatching me up immediately. And the bride''s mother told my bf''s father IN FRONT OF ME to get his son to marry me... He responded, "We''re trying." My bf told me later that his mom had cornered him and told him not to break up with me! He got out of her wrath by telling her that it wasn''t exactly his choice. It was like every adult in the room was more concerned about me getting married than the couple who''s wedding we were attending. talk about pressure.

Yes I went. I worked late Friday and planned to work all day Saturday. I got up really early and got to work at 7:45am on Sat, well after about an hour I was having technical difficulties and couldn''t get anything done. I decided if the BF called and said he missed me and wished I was there that I would fly down last minute. He called at 10:30 and of course said everything I wanted to hear, so I booked my ticket and went to the airport. Since I had to pay a lot for the last minute ticket, he had to be on his best behavior at the wedding, and he said he''d take me out to a fancy dinner to reimburse me. I told him that for everytime he acted up, our bottle of wine would get more and more expensive. The BF kept telling me all night that he was glad I was there with him. Also one of the bridesmaids came up to me at the reception and said it meant a lot to the bride that I was there.
