As I posted before, last month I bought my dream OEC. Actually, I never dared to even dream of one as spectacular as she, so I am ecstatic. Since I'm one to name my cars I decided to name her too. Coming from the gilded age and being a creamy yellow, Gilda seemed to perfect.
While she had a pretty 14k white gold setting she came in, my eye said something was off. I felt because of how warm she is, she needed some yellow gold. Problem is I am typically a white metal girl. I have however been branching out and have inherited many yellow gold pieces from my hubby's grandmother. I also love how some of the PSers have many bands they rotate with their solitaire, and think I want to do that too, to satisfy my need for variety.
Now, what to do when you have blown your budget and then some on your diamond? You commission jewelryhoo to make you one! I took inspiration from some beautiful rings I've seen and saved on PS, LT, and Instagram, so you might recognize some if the designs, although I did change up some things.
The rings are platinum and 18k gold with TINY diamonds. The band has .28 cts and the solitaire setting a whopping. 03cts. Thanks for reading!
