a nice surprise - rubellite halo ring

I wasn't looking for a rubellite ring but it kinda found me in one of my visits to the jeweller. it is 3.63 ct rubellite - shifts between pink to red - hardly any brown. am v pleased with this acquisition.

Wow, a find indeed! Love the stone and the proportions of the setting -- the halo is great, not too big & highlights the rubellite beautifully. How come I never find treasures like that (or am flat-out broke when I do!)?

Actually, I think this ring, your Mahenge ring, and athena's are all hideous and should be listed on DB immediately.

I soooo hear you on the pink/red thing! I just can't get enough either...Though I should try setting one!
