a Spinel

I received this spinel from Barry yesterday. 1.2carat, 6.5mm. It has multiple personalities, each of which has multiple delusions, not to mention aliases. It is not a stone to be trusted. Like the singing and dancing frog in the cartoon, it shuts up and acts like a frog when another person is present, then as soon as they turn their backs it is wearing a top hat and walking stick and dancing up a storm. There are a lot of photos here. tedious I know. sorry.

Had to go watch the michigan j frog cartoon about a week ago. Love that little guy too!

Your photography really shows off Barry's excellent cutting and that polished faceted girdle I love. Very nice!!

It's uncomfortable but I havent a clue what I'm to do. I trusted my gut when I bought it, which seems to be the only way to get Barry's stones, and I am keeping it. Now I have 3 Barry spinels so I could hold out till I have like 19 and make a necklace. But that would take 4 months if I could get a matching spinel every week from him which I doubt will happen.
I managed to get a few more interesting shots of the stone and of the Dan Stair stone too, so I will add them here even though I have already posted too many.
