Hello Psers!
I should have posted these pics sooner, but diamond rings are hard to photograph!!
After deciding on the Emilya double-row cushion halo by Victor Canera, I sent off my center stone. The stone was sent out near the end of January and back on my hand before Valentine’s Day. I did not have any special requests for Victor and his team as to melee size, shank width, prongs, curved struts, height of setting, etc. Who would want to reign in an artist’s expertise and creativity, right? I had full faith in the jewel that Victor would create, and sure enough, the ring is stunning! A huge thank you to Victor and Nicholas for great communication and exquisite workmanship.
I do not have any measurements or specs of the setting; suffice to say pictures do no justice to the level of delicacy and fine workmanship of the setting. Pictures make all the details look that much bigger, when in reality, the jewel is much finer.
Some of my main concerns when deciding on a halo were: a negligible lip or edge on the halo, pavé work that did not look “geary” or angular, and negligible spacing between stones in the pavé work. Victor, in my opinion, has created the finest halo possible for a diamond. To this end, some of the photographs are at angles that highlight the details that were important to me. Of note: when looking at the gallery of the setting, there is no negative space that can be seen. This would lead someone to believe the diamond rests on the struts to some degree. In reality, Victor’s work is so exacting, there IS space between the struts and the diamond, allowing the most amount of light, but this can only be seen at a certain angle. Pure genius.
Nicholas was kind enough to send me a professional photo of my ring (it took my breath away!), that I have not posted here, as it is a trademarked photo. The photo can be seen here: https://www.instagram.com/p/BQycbPmD7Q5/?hl=en

Here are the specs of the center stone:
2.0 carat H VS2, GIA XXX, HCA 1.6
Without further ado, the ring!
