Hey folks - is there really any difference between those classifications? Are the all basically the same thing?

Will they all show the hearts and arrows perfect pattern?

No. All of them have their own standard. Some are looser than others. AGS ideal may or may not show the H&A symmetry. ACA ALWAYS does. Blue nile says it does but their standards are a lower than ACA and their symmetry is looser. If you want to be 100% sure, get an ACA.

A Cut Above from WF are their own branded h&a cut diamond which have to meet very strict standards to be awarded the ACA title and are always AGS0 , however an AGS0 from other sources can be of excellent cut quality but may or may not show a hearts and arrows pattern. Also lesser cut diamonds can show an arrow pattern sometimes to a certain extent, but it depends on what you want - don't assume if a diamond shows arrows it is necessarily a top cut diamond or ' ideal' in any way. If you want an undisputed hearts and arrows diamond, then an ACA or Hearts on Fire if there is a dealer near you is the way to go.

Only AGS0 is a lab grade. H&A is just a stone that exhibit ideal optical symm that shows the H&A pattern, not necessary ideal light performance.

ACA and BN Signature Ideal are just brands name of in house stones. ACA must have AGS0 grade and shows H&A. BN Signature Ideal not sure what their criteria is, they just say that is performs the best in their stones and with a GCAL cert.
