I also have a quick question. I'm planning on the vatche u113 setting, I've seen several PS'ers get theirs set higher. What exactly does that mean and how does it effect the overall look, maybe a comparison pic. I won't have the chance to see one in person till we actually purchase one and I'm wondering if I should request it set higher. Also, ive seen some older t&co rings that look like theyve turned grey, i want it shiny, but I like that it doesn't have to be dipped, should I get a different alloy mix or go for white gold.

Thanks!

I recently completed a purchase at WF and considered these diamonds myself (but they were just out of my budget). I'm by no means a pro, but I liked the .928 better.

the scope looked better, and H is still an acceptable color to most...plus you save a few hundred bucks.

looks like a decent value in that size range.

I think both diamonds look great! I have the Vatche U-113 setting. I did ask for the 90plat/10iridium alloy. The other harder alloy is 95plat/5ruthenium. Either of these is better than the standard 95plat/5iridium. Be sure you request it. While these are harder and more scratch resistant and will stay shiny longer if treated with TLC, you will eventually have to have the ring polished if you want to keep it looking like new. That might be every 5 years or so for me. Oh, and do not request the stone to be set higher. One girl here did and it looked bad. Truly, Vatche sets the stone at the perfect height just as it should be done, so there are no concerns regarding stone height. There was another Tiffany repro ring from another source that used to set the diamonds too low, but that is not the case with the Vatche.
