My brother, discouraged a bit at finding out what Scott Kay''s pricing was this day & age, came up with a different alternative. Not channel set with milgraine edging, but more of a traditional bead set ring. Since he knows without a doubt his future wife wont say no, (boy he''s got some big ones huh), he is opting to go for the whole enchilada & get the set. Better pricing that way too, & for sure the rings will match. One jeweler said that these rings would look really lovely, no milgraine but bead set with 10 X 3pts in the ering & 12 X 3pts in the wedding band for a total of .66pts in diamonds & 17grams platinum & set with a V prong. What do you guys think of this one? Pretty reasonable for a casted peice & the jeweler said that often times the peice will need a tiny bit of tweeking (filing the prongs a bit finer or polishing the ring a bit finer, those kinds of things)
Has anyone seen anything like it? I thought WF had one, the bead set ring, but its only got .20 stones in the ering & looks just a teeny bit more concave (scooped inwards) at the side of the shank, like a Tiffany. Center stone, .80ish in size. The ring I think is somewhere around 2.6mm but no more than 3mm.
