AGS vs GIA grading on AVC'S

I am researching cushion cuts and have fallen in love with GOG'S AVC's. However, I see that many stones are AGS graded. Was wondering how AGS grading compares to a GIA grade?

AGS and GIA are the more reputable grading labs. Feel comfortable buying either a GIA or AGS graded stone.

Usually AGS is the grading lab used when they want the cert to reflect how good the light performance is, i believe. Also its used a lot for branded cuts like that

AGS is a newer lab than GIA but it is highly respected partly because it more strictly grades cut on some types of stones. You will see that many of the vendors who sell top cut quality hearts and arrows rounds have their stones graded through AGS. So I look at GIA and AGS graded stones, but certain specialty cuts are purposely graded by AGS to get the coveted ideal cut grade.
