I am engaged!!!!!!!
My now fiance proposed yesterday afternoon. I have only posted a few times but I decided to post my story. It was only a short time but everyone definetly helped me from going insane. I was not inlcuded in the process what so ever. I had only started telling him rings I was interested in like a month and a half ago. SO that he did it this weekend was a TOTAL SURPRISE!!!! SO here is my story...
We live in Tallahassee, FL so we are about 2 hours from the ocean. So Thursday he decided he wanted to go to the ocean, so we made reservation at a hotel right on the beach over looking the ocean like on the 14th floor. I thought it was somewhat weird that he got such an extravengant room, but did not think of anything happening.
When we got to our room we sat out on the balcony and had a drink, and played dave matthews band. We are huge DMB fans. He wanted to make sure DMB was playing to right as soon as it got one he told me he had a present and pulled out a ring box. I was like no way!!! But I open the box and it was blue topaz ring he gave me a couple years ago. He had taken it to get cleaned and resized. He then said what did you think I was going to propose. I said yes, he then got down on one knee and said what like this. And he sat there for a few moments and I was like what are you doing! The funny part was I realized what he was doing when he told me I should put down my beer
. He then pulled out the box and I instantly started to cry. He asked me to marry him, with no speach; I didn''t want one. He wouldn''t show me the ring until I said yes so it was pretty funny!!! But it was the greatest moment ever. It was so perfect exactly the way I would want it.
The ring is gorgeous!!!!!
It is huge, so he suprised me with something I would never anticipate getting. He had the ring custom made at a jeweler here in Tallahassee. I don''t know the specs on it cause he really doesn''t know. But I will post pictures later tonight and the specs when we figure it out. I think I counted like 64 little diamonds and then the one big one in the middle. It is sparkly and I just love it, it is so PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
