That is a wonderful story, crowmama. You waited for what you really wanted and it came along! Congratulations on the perfect rings!

Wow... I've never seen anything like your rings before; they truly are like little sculptures! They look like an amazing piece I would see in a museum... but I'm so glad they are on your hand instead because they really look perfect on you! The square shape is perfect for the design. It's really a beautiful set!!!

did you buy them as a set, or purchase the wedding band at a later date?
30.gif
I am still swooning, I tell yah! Just when I thought I was 'cured'
31.gif
Çã†hër§ (LUV the spelling, BTW) I first purchased the semi mount on eBay, and then saved my $$$ for a year to order the matching band one year later. I may have to save more $$$ to acquire more of this designers pieces, since they're all rather unusual.

thanks for the quick reply! I hope you don't mind, but I saved the pictures of your set...that's a first, for me. I love how unique they look. I have certainly never seen anything like them IRL!

still swooning!

ps to get funky letters go to start, run, then a black box will pop up and type charmap...this will take you to where you want to go, have fun creating.

You are close, I am in Strongsville...if I take the back roads, I can be at Great Northern in 15 minutes! The sun did actually peak out a bit today, I was shocked! Yes, Cleveland weather...if you don't like it, wait 5 minutes and it will change! Are you a CSU student? My sister goes there but she was just accepted at Baldwin Wallace...just waiting to see if all her credites will transfer.

I love them, they are so pretty!!!
As for the sun shining tomorrow...I am from the Cleveland area as well, and I don't think that the sun is expected anytime soon! We are expecting an arctic blast, though!
Hi Dana! East Side or West Side? I'm in N. Olmsted, so I'm expecting lots of cold prairie winds out here, but little snow.

The sun was out shining brightly yesterday around 2:00 downtown at CSU, so you never know with Cleveland weather!

Your rings really are just gorgeous! They look great on you and I love the square shape! They''re beautiful!

I''m off to search for a pic of the spider brooch right now!

I had my LASIK eye surgery done in N. Olmsted, by Dr. George Rozakis. Small world, huh?!

Dana, I grew up in Strongsville! What a small world. That was back in the day (1970's) when I could walk to Surrarrer Elementary and stop to pet the horse at the farm across the street. I'd have to ride my bike through corn fields around Priem Road to go see my friends. Things have certainly changed since then!

I've worked at CSU in the library for 18 years, now, and graduated twice (BA and MA). Hoping to retire with 30 years, and am working on purchasing back two years with the state to get out in 10.

BW is a great school, and everyone I've met who's an alum loved the experience, so I'm crossing my fingers for your sister.

I think I know someone related to him... small world! I wonder how we can fit Kevin Bacon into the 6 degrees of separation game with this?

Ok, technically this is supposed to be a pearl-free forum, but since the spider brooches have diamonds in them, I think it'll be permissable

OMG, my son goes to Surrarrer! That is so funny! I grew up in Rocky River, my husband is from Strongsville. Aww, that is sweet of you to wish my sister well, thank you!

I have to pipe up and say that I was in Rocky River in 1984, for the summer, with my best friend, who had moved there from eastern Canada(Labrador) I still have memories of Cedar Point.

Lol, isn''t that funny?! I did live there in 1984...I was in 7th grade. That is funny that you know where Rocky River is, it is so small! I have not been to Cedar Point in years!

It IS a small world. The house I grew up in was on Priem (8809). Ask your husband if he ever took a field trip to Seidel''s Farm as a school kid. Great place for kids when it existed, but I drove by the other day and they''re putting housing developments up on the farm. That''s a shame -- it was a great resource for kids. Like Chrissie Hind sang:

I WENT BACK TO OHIO
BUT MY PRETTY COUNTRYSIDE
HAD BEEN PAVED DOWN THE MIDDLE
BY A GOVERNMENT THAT HAD NO PRIDE
THE FARMS OF OHIO
HAD BEEN REPLACED BY SHOPPING MALLS
AND MUZAK FILLED THE AIR
FROM SENECA TO CUYAHOGA FALLS
SAID, A, O, OH WAY TO GO OHIO

That really kind of describes Strongsville, North Royalton, Brunswick, Hinckley, etc...

I lived in Rocky River in 3rd and 4th grade, walked to my elementary school!

We STILL go to Cedar Point almost every summer, LOVE all those "rolly toasters" (what DD used to call "roller coasters"!). There''s just no amusement park EVER that can compare with CP!

And every winter we stay with friends for a long weekend in a gorgeous lakehouse called Rock of Ages in Marblehead. And I LOVE the quiltshop (the "Nautical Needle") on the way into town.

Small world! (Fun threadjack!)

I''m not sure that I''ve ever seen your ring before. I really like the square shape of the bands and the unique design. You must get a tons of hand grabbers and compliments on them!

I was going into grade 10! wild! I couldn''t give you the address that I stayed at, but they were big brown houses, almost attached to another house, but not a typical row house..sorry that does not make the best sense, but that is how I remember it. My best gf and I used to walk straight down the street from her house, I think there was a school just down the street from her house(maybe 2 or 3 houses down) and spend most days at the public pool...ahhh that was an amazing summer. We also went roller skating at this oober cool roller rink that had a disco ball and strobe lights!

What a fun thread! Crowmama...yes, my husband said that he did take a school trip to Seidel''s Farm. He did not go to Surrarrer, he went to Allen. We live right there in Meadowood so I know exactly where Priem is. They really have built up these areas...As much as I like Southpark mall, I am happy to live on the other end of Strongsville...far enough away that the traffic does not bother us!

Lynn B, that is so cool that you lived in Rocky River! It is such a small city, I graduated with 160 kids and knew everyone by name! I went to Kensington for elementary school...there was also Goldwood and Beach (?).

Çã†hër§...I do not know the roller rink (maybe it was where the ice rink is?), but I am familiar with the pool in Rocky River. You should see it now, huge water tube slides and water fall things!

It is a fun thread jack, but back to the ring...I absolutely love it! I have a pear as well, and I would love to have it set like yours!

These are really some of the coolest rings on PS. I love the carved look that the heavy platinum has.

Congrats on getting your dream band!

I love, love LOVE my Alishan rings! They feel perfect, the squareness prevents them from spinning on my chubby finger, and I love the layered platinum to create the deep, deep relief in the bands. I''ll add more photos tomorrow taken in natural sunlight to catch some fire... that is IF the sun decides to shine in Cleveland tomorrow!

crow, can you please take a few profile shots of your e-ring for me please? only if and when you have time. Thank you!

ve your basket! Truly a magnificent set!

WOW! Love, love your rings!!

I''ve had a fascination for square rings ever since I received a little crackerjack one in my christmas stocking when I was eight. I think your set might be one of the most unique on PS. Truly gorgeous!

!!!

I have to thank all of you for your compliments toward my set -- you make me speechless! I''ve been on PS for a number of years now, and have seen so many beautiful sets: vintage, custom, 3-stone, WF, Vatche, Tiffany, Morrel... the list goes on!

Ladies, we all have some mighty fine bling to wear with pride! We''re blessed and lucky to be able to ogle and drool over each other rings... Life is good, and I''m glad to share some luxurious fluff with you all.

Sitting contentedly in Cleveland...

I checked out their site, but it seems to be under construction..bummer! I will keep checking though, as I would love to browse and see all of their goodies. Is the store in Montana the only one who sells Alishan settings? I am unable to pinpoint why I love your set/setting so much...it is simply the most beautiful piece of art I have ever seen. I would love to be able to try on a semi mount, ''just to see how it looks'' on my stubby fingers! haha! famous last words.
