Alright gals... which dress?!

kaliegh- thanks for your words of support! i love pink and FI refuses to have pink as our wedding colors, so I''m stuck w/ blue. But the thought did cross my mind that this could be my way of getting pink in there! And that way, I''m not forcing bm to wear pink either! (2 of them don''t like pink)

qtiekiki: the photographer is a family friend, so he was being brutally honest about his art, I think because he felt more comforatble telling us the truth. He''s great at making ppl look skinny though (believe me!!)!!!

I don''t think I''ll base my decision on his opinion, by any means. THe hard part is FI liking the cheaper pink dress more.. and me liking the expesive white one!!!!

Kberly: i *think* the paloma only comes in white.

I have to say, the paloma blanca is more my style and the dress I would have picked had you NOT posted the pictures of you in the dresses, but seeing the pics of you I think you should definitely go with the Casablanca. Not only does the color look AMAZING with your skin tone, you have the perfect body for that style of dress. The fact that you can save money as well...I think it''s a no-brainer! I know, I know. It''s not that easy. But, if you think of it in terms of going with your ideal dress or the dress that looks ideal on you (not that the paloma blanca looked bad) I bet you''ll find the decision a bit easier.

kind of resurrecting a dead thread here, but I just wanted to let everyone know that I did finally order the dress, and I ended up getting the paloma blanca (#1) I know a lot of you said I looked better in the casablanca, but in the end, my mom was willing to cough up the extra for the silk paloma blanca.... she claims the casablanca lace one looked ''cheap''... personally I think she just felt guilty bc she spent more on her MOB outfit!! hehe.. don''t tell her that I''m on to her though!

I still love both dresses!! For a split second I considered getting both and wearing the casablanca for the reception,

but my FI told me I couldn''t be a 2 dress bride *sniff*

ah well, such is life!

now I''m just crossing my fingers until the dress gets here!! they''re estimating oct 8!

flopkins, that was my favorite choice for you!!! The silk has to be fabulous, I especially love the bodice of the dress., and you look terrific. Congrats on your choice!!

Flopkins, the ship has sailed since you ordered, but I loved number one on you! It is lovely. A funny note, I got married about 15 years ago and wanted strapless. It was not as common then, and when I went into the bridal store (a chi chi place in Newport Beach, CA) and asked about it, the saleswoman, a very traditional gal, looked at me like I tinkled on the rug. I ended up with a silk shantung gown and modified the sleeve so it was off the shoulder but more of a cap effect. I remade it in the shantung so I was able to do it. I was getting married in August in So. CAl and didn''t want to be hot. Now strapless is so in!!!! Congrats, it is stunning...
