An eventful week: reception dress, makeup, cranes, and glasses!

You''re new glasses are so cute - I think you''re eyes will pop with the smaller frames, but I agree with Amber and Gaby maybe a little eyeliner under the eyes. You could do a gray or even eggplant liner which will look a little less harsh than the black underneath.

ficklefaye and Luckyeshe I am wearing Baby Phat heels (Bijou) for as long as I can stand them (wearing 5" CLs with my wedding dress) and then switching into sandals. You can kind of see them in the first pic, but I will post a proper foot shot tonight.

ilovesparkles, if I remember correctly, your wedding colors are summery and vibrant, right? Otherwise, I would be happy to let you use some of ours. If it is something you really wanted to do, I think you could. If you stretch it out until next June, you would only have to average 4 or 5 cranes a day!

Dr.AG! Good to see you around! How is the new job going?! Have you moved yet? I will have to try these tricks. I do agree that I have far less blush on than other makeup. I am just starting to play around with eye make-up (beyond my 15 year old slight mascara routine), and I would have never thought to try something under the eye. Will do!

The dress is a Vera Wang maids dress (style 23M15) that I ordered in ivory, AsscherNut. It was relatively inexpensive and is super comfortable! p.s. I am also an Asscher nut!

Dannielle we are going to use them in centerpieces, hang some from the tent, and place them around the cake and food tables. Basically they are going to be our flower substitutes.

Thanks, Gwen! I do love me some feisty glasses. It is my one vice (well, until I can afford to start dabbling in gemstones, hehe).

I love bold blush colors, so I will have to check these out! They give me a reason to stay out of the sun.

Ah, the hair. Not so sure about that, Elrohwen. I am growing out a short cut and had wanted a sideswept bun, but the only way that is going to happen is if I use extensions. FI told me he thought I would be frontin'' if I wore extensions and he hated the idea. So, now maybe half up/half down? That is the next hurdle.

Yay for getting a desk "ohhhhhh", zipzapgirl! I love it!

Ooh, I like the idea of an eggplant liner, luvbug. I am using that as one of the colors in the shadow along with copper, brown, and a shimmery pearl.

Everything looks great! I did origami for my wedding too. Not anywhere near 1000 cranes, but just some flowers and birds and stuff to scatter over a table.
