After seeing some lovely rings posted by @GliderPoss , I decided to come up with my own version. Gliderposs's rings below are my inspiration:

I loved the heavy four pointed bezel, and I wanted to give it a go. I had this star garnet kicking around, and the deep, almost black color shows off the prongs nicely. My version is sterling. Here are the photos.

Thanks, luvallgems! I have done many repairs on gold items. However, gold sheet and wire is just too expensive, especially since I am just a hobbyist!

It looks great!!!!

Omgosh I love this!!!!!
It looks perfect with the shiny bright white silver!
I swear you need to open an Etsy so I can purchase all of your lovely creations!
:kiss2:

WOOHOO! Looks awesome, I'm so impressed.

Respect! I could not do that myself. Awesome talented.

wow
im so impressed
that's impressive work
well done :appl:

Wow that's a cool ring and it looks so much like the original inspiration piece.

If you were going to sell I wouldn't go Etsy, post them on LT that way you don't have to pay all the ridiculous Etsy fees :D

I would love to learn to do this stuff but have no idea where to start!

You are an excellent silversmith, your finished ring looks every bit as professional as the inspiration piece! I second the idea of selling some of your pieces on LT.

I am amazed by your talent @stracci2000 ! I love that you include photos showing the steps you take to make the piece. Your ring is beautiful
