Ancient colored beads

Love them. What surprised me is that they were millefiori. I so associate that with Italy and its odd to think that it may in fact have had its roots in a completely different civilization and location. Thank you so much for the article!

Of course since they keep referring to her as a Priestess I worry that it was one of those human sacrifice kind of things, where she didn't die of natural causes :errrr:
 
They are gorgeous. The article doesn't say why they think the beads came from Egypt. I'd like to know. Egyptians created amazingly beautiful items, inventing complex processes to make them, but other places did too at the time. Have to look up millefiori's history.

Thanks for putting this up -- fascinating! If my sieve of a brain doesn't let it sift through, will keep an eye out for updates -- hope an expert surfaces to provide info.
