Anniversary is around the corner, and I know I won''t get proposed....

Hi all, I''ve been a lurker for a long time and BF and I had already went through the ring shopping process and he has it in his possession since the beginning of September, so about 3 weeks ago.

Our anniversary is coming up in the beginning of October and thats the date I''ve been setting myself up for, its the closest event we have since he got the ring.

However, from a conversation I had with him yesterday,it doesn''t feel like I''m getting proposed on our anniversary... He thought I had volunteered to plan our anniversary so he didn''t do anything, and he was going to get me a kitchen appliance because its our fourth anniversary....

I haven''t talked to him about my ring in two weeks and I''d like to keep it that way. I just need to vent... It sucks to know the wait is longer.... He''s a procrastinator... if not our anniversary, I really don''t know when it''ll be.

Maybe he''ll forget about it for a while, and remember it sometime next year, it just really might happen.

I sincerely hate that men just hang on to the ring and wait around for the "perfect" time. I''ve seen so many of my girlfriends drive themselves crazy. Hopefully it''s soon for you!

Oh I am sorry. I feel your frustration. Perhaps he''s trying to throw you off and is actually planning something for that day? The ring is in my boyfriend''s possession (as of today) and it appears he''s going to take his time as well. I am going to try really hard to be patient!!

I understand what you mean about trying not to talk about it with him - my BF and I picked out the ring I am getting, however it is not purchased yet. I used to talk about it every day and although he is patient with me about it, I think it kinda takes away the special-ness of the moment when it actually does happen. So in the meantime I have been on PS way tooo much, looking at pics of my ring on Tiffany.com and keeping my fingers bare of all rings until the proposal happens, to make it even more special to add a ring to my finger!

I do the same! In fact I spent about half an hour looking at the lucida on the tiffany site last night

So LauraBabe08, What ring are you looking at?? I so dearly want the Novo!
