Why break up a lovely family to dally with a girl like that when you have the real thing? I think maybe his ego is in the toilet because her career is hotter than his and when the male ego is not happy...

I recall Patricia Wetig''s line to Billy Crystal in City Slickers when he was in the midst of a crisis emotionally...she wanted to make sure he did not cheat on her and said something like men justify it by thinking "If I am not happy UP HERE (pointing to his head) then I will make myself happy DOWN HERE (pointing to his groin)..I always thought that was funny but sadly true.

I don''t know, I always felt there was something "not nice" about Ryan, and I always felt that Reese worked overtime to satiate his ego. I don''t know, there seems to be something about his expression that always made me feel like that. He does have a somewhat surly sullen ticked off look...she seems sweet and is from a lovely family in the south, she just strikes me as being really decent and grounded...and Legally Blonde is my favorite movie (my hubby teases me that she is me, after he watched it!)

Print those t shirts and let''s go! But seriously, it is so sad to me how many marriages are imploding lately. The marriages almost seem disposable to me...hey, no biggie, just have a ginormous wedding for a couple mil, try playing house for a while and then trash eachother in the press when you want to bail. I realize there are situations, marriages that are bad, that there are mates who are terrible to their spouse behind closed doors, but ALL these marriages cannot be like that, surely...just seems a pity. On the bright side a wedding planner in Hollywood sure is likely to get repeat customers!

Fran, as I told you, your ring is amazing. I am a big emerald cut fan myself. I have twice upgraded from a round originally and kept the emerald cut the second and third ring. I just think they are glamorous and gorgeous...

I totally agree, Diamondfan. I hate that it seems like there''s this trend towards trial marriages. I believe it was NY Magazine that did an ariticle on it awhile back. They said that a lot of people today (esp. in major urban centers like NYC or LA) look at their first marriage as just that - their first marriage. Like you said, if it doesn''t work out? Oh well! And some girls actually "trade up" with their second marriages! I can''t imagine living life like that. At least Reese and Ryan looked like they at least tried to make their marriage work.
