I came across this stone and bought it for fun. The ad says it's natural (from Madagascar), and maybe it is, but I suspect it's just a synthetic. I paid $12.50 so I don't care much. I've spent more on a shot of tequila
As long as it's not too dark and ugly in person, I think what I'll do is buy a generic solitare pendant setting for it and have it set at the local jeweler I plan on using for my e-ring setting. If they mess this one up, I won't care and I'll know they shouldn't be trusted with the real stone I actually like
