TO ME! :appl:

I have been on the hunt for a pure green since I first fell in love with colored diamonds (thanks, Kenny!). Green is one of my favorite colors and the science nerd part of me (well, that's all of me!) thinks it's awesome how they receive their coloration. They're very hard to find, and bloody expensive. Everything that has come up in the last year and a half I've been looking has been wayyyyy out of my price range. Like 'bathing in Cristal, exfoliating with beluga caviar' out of my price range. :lol: Life would be perfect if we could ALL have stones like Kenny's dynamite green, but waiting to win lotto hasn't exactly paid off yet...especially since I don't actually buy tickets. :lol:

But today, waiting for DH to grab some takeaway noodles, I opened Leibish's new items on my phone and there he was. MY GREEN STONE. He's not perfect - the saturation isn't great. But the fact is, if it were, he would have been out of my league. As it is he's a bit of a stretch...DH gave me a look like this: :| I still think he looks excellent, and as usual Aviva at Leibish was a saint and more than generous with the return period. I LOVE buying from her!

I won't have him in my hot hands until June 2, so I've got plenty of time to come up with a name for him. I'm leaning in the direction of a traditional (ahem, stereotypical) Irish name. And it's fitting because I'll be meeting my parents in IRELAND in June! :bigsmile:

This now rounds out a tiny collection of four. FIP, FIB, FIY, and FIG. Lord help my bank account when I find the next one...

OH congratulations.
I saw that one and thought it would go fast.
It's a beautiful pure Coke bottle green, and I can't wait for your new family portrait. :appl:

Do you have a link to your collection?
Eye candy fix needed. :wavey:

Congrats on the newest addition!

I really like this guy. He has a great spread for an Intense stone and a radiant cut. I wouldn't worry too much about the saturation in that pic. The one pic (they used 3 times :nono: ) may not be 100% representative of all aspects of the stone. Personally, I would have liked to have seen a side view as well.

Please, please, please take lots of pics when he gets there...please! Also group shots!! :love:

So what's next for the collection? Do you have another color that you are interested in? Will these remain loose or do you plan to set them?

i like it! nice stone! await your pictures in June!

Good for you JG and an Irish name will be quite fitting.

Very cool stone...how about Sean or Duncan (or is it Dunkin?)

How bout Kelly?

can't wait for pics!

Thank guys, so nice to share the excitement. My friends generally mirror my husband's expressions. :|

As of now...I've spent my budget for setting on the loose green! ::) Though I only plan on setting the yellow, as it's a decent size. I was thinking three stone with VC, but now that's out of reach. They will all stay unset until we get home from our European escapade, then I'll reassess.

The next stone? Well, like Kenny I've been keeping an eye on the yellows. I need a warm stone to put with the cool ones, then would like to set in a bezel ring along the lines of someone here (was it LD?). And, of course, a certified Argle, hopefully PP. But who knows - we've got some renovations in mind this year, do I doubt it will be as gem-filled as 2011. ;(

And sorry, Kenny, on my phone so no pictures. Plus mine are so rubbish, it's just a pink blob next to a blue blob. :lol:

However, all of my jewelry and stones are at the appraiser ATM, so maybe they'll come home with some glamour shots!

Exciting!!!

ROSE GOLD!! :naughty: :appl:

"He's" a beauty! For a few traditional Irish names;

Lorcan = "little fierce one"
Galen = "small but lively"
Keller = "little companion"
Orrin = means "pale green"
