Another Old Euro Three Stone...by Singlestone

Gorgeous, stunning, beautiful, amazing, lovely, striking, wowzers. Did I leave any great adjective out?
And, there are two of them!
I'm local to LA, too. I really need to get my rear to these two jewelers. Trouble is, then I'm going to WANT something...like my own version of these rings. Well, that isn't going to happen any time soon, but I sure can admire yours, Yenny and TGal.

Congrats! That ring is stunning.

Gorgeous!!!

It is gorgeous!

Aww, thanks everyone, for receiving my ring so well! I honestly can't believe it's really mine! I feel so lucky!

Missy, I would love to meet TGal someday and take a photo with our "sister" rings. Maybe the PS GTG next year???

madelise, my stones may be the ones you are thinking of...it was a few months ago when I purchased them

DS--you did guess right!! ;) You know, I'm honestly thinking of wearing this ring on my left with a stack and wearing the oval as a RHR all by itself. Of course, that means resizing, since the 3 stone is way too big for my left hand....gah!

Enerchi-this ring will definitely stand the test of time...and not PS time!

Thanks Amysbling, Mara, Canuk, Mayk, hmr_mama, junebug, armywife, JaneSmith, purplesilk and lknvrb4!! You all have such gorgeous bling, I'm tickled that you like my ring!

Dreamer, you are too funny! Yes, we should start an octagonal bezel club! And I think that KaeKae should get herself over to see Ari pronto so that we have a 4th member of the club!!

LALove and vinjewels, your wish is my command. Here's a bad family shot...it's cloudy this morning, so I had to make do with indoor bathroom light and I'm not much of a photographer on a good day!

MGR, I'll try for some close ups tomorrow (today is Yom Kippur and I'll be at synagogue all day with hubby and the kids).

Oh my goodness Yenny it is stunning! I have to admit I have TGal's saved to my favorites folders (now this one too) because I'm hoping down the line I can make it with a set of sapphire sidestones. I just love it! Beautiful rendition. You and Tgal have excellent taste!

yenny, it's gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! It's heartwarming too, that you sought TGal's a-ok and she was so happy to give it. Just more icing on the blingy cake!

Thanks rainydaze! I am so grateful to TGal for being so gracious about this. If she had been uncomfortable with the idea, I'd probably still have 3 unset stones in my jewelry box!

Sarahbear, I think this ring with sapphire side stones would be amazing!

LOL, come on, please...I hope that wouldn't be the case. I appreciate you asking (just so I could be excited and know that the project was coming), but it wasn't necessary. So I'll put this out as a PSA now...if anyone wants one, please go ahead and DO IT. :wavey:

Also, FWIW, I think your oval looks great with the band on your left hand as is. It's one of my all time favorite sets on PS (with another SS stone ring, Violet's, being one my other fav sets) so obviously I favor that look. I think the 3 stone will look great stacked with the right bands...it may just take a little time to find the right ones!

Yes, no worries about Tgal because 1) she is reasonable. Mostly. And 2) because this is a classic antique design that has been delightfully emulated in both of your rings, so I'm not sure any modern person "owns" the design, and 3) your rings are TOTALLY different!!! Remember tucked vs recessed... its like, night and day  Didn't we cover that?? I am not sure you two can be in the octagonal bezel club anymore if you cannot keep that detail straight :nono:

I love your collection too Yenny, the whole thing. I am working on a collection, but on a much smaller scale. I have a lovely vintage pendant on the way, and my e-ring, and I would like to add a three or five stone RHR with sub-carat stones (I have been collecting), and a vintage watch! Is there anything else you want to add to your collection?

And you're CRAZY. I'll believe it when I see it that a 3 stone (I won't comment on the 5) with sub carat stones will actually cut it for you after everything you've had on your finger. :cheeky:

Some people wouldn't have been as kind as you have been and I know it! So, my gratitude is heartfelt because I couldn't have enjoyed a ring knowing that the person I emulated was upset about it.

Hmmm...patience while I find the right set....you know who you're talking to right? I'm not known for my patience!!

Dreamer, you are a character!! And that's all I'm gonna say about that subject. Other than completing the 3 stone set, I am DONE! Really and truly. I honestly can't handle the stress. I can't knowingly walk into a retail store, both because things are overpriced and somewhat pedestrian, but the agony of trying to find good deals on "worthwhile" stones on eBay isn't my thing. I was a basket case while trying to find my OEC studs and the stones for the 3 stone ring. So, while I'm sure DF will be happy to make me eat my words if I change my mind, I honestly think my collection is complete.

Yenny, looking at your photo of your collection I think it looks very complete to me indeed! Those two rings really are the be-all end-all. Do you have a pendant?

No, PS blasphemy, but I don't wear necklaces or bracelets/watches....just not my thing. So I would agree that my collection is complete. :appl:

Gawd lawdy lawdy - knowing how big your center on your three stone is, I'm just DYING over your oval. We need more hands shots of everything, please!!!

I will work on more photos tomorrw TGal!

Reed, I love that band, but the price is just way out of my budget. If anyone finds one on eBay, let me know! :naughty:

Gorgeous! Both your rings are gorgeous! :)

I love the octagonal outline and I would do the exact same thing if I wanted a three stone. I don't think I've liked a three stone until you both posted your rings, they are so unique! Love it! :appl:

Yenny--it's gorgeous! I love the articulation of the almost-invisible bead settings and the outer octagonal bezels. I'm partial to this setting style for period-inspired, old-cut diamond rings. You get lots of great light entry paired with protective bezels. It's also cool to see designs shared and for PS members to draw inspiration from one another. Jewelry community! I'm excited to see more octagonal bezel, bead-set designs posted here.

Well done, yet again. Your collection is droolworthy to say the very least.

Congrats Yenny!.. :wavey: beautiful ring!!... :appl:

Wow, its amazing! What a lovely set as well. Please do try and post more photos!! :) I love to be able to see the detail a bit more. :)

Sweet ring! I like it with your bands too.

Your new 3 stone ring is absolutely beautiful!!!

Enjoy!

Cachette :))

Yenny I have been wanting something like this for myself, but the profile is too high :blackeye: But would love to see you get this ring to stack with your three stone, or one of BKs other geometric styles. I think it would be perfect! TGals stack is similar.

http://www.pearlmansjewelers.com/jewelry-designers/beverley-k-jewelry/rings/05PP1/

Not sure if either of you is comfortable with this vendor, but here is a similar band at a small fraction of the cost:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/MILGRAIN-Bezel-32ctw-Diamond-Solid-14K-White-Gold-Wedding-Eternity-Band-Ring-/271014604480?pt=US_Fine_Rings&hash=item3f19baaec0

I bought one with the upgraded diamonds and I believe the additional cost was between $75-100, which was well worth it in my opinion. I am very happy with the band so I just thought I would share.

And back to the important topic here - Yenny your 3-stone is absolutely TO DIE FOR!!!! As is TGal's too of course! Your stones and the setting are both beautiful and you have a gorgeous collection  My goal is to have a small collection like yours with a few perfect pieces, rather than a bunch of so-so things that rarely get worn.

Yenny, it's amazingly beautiful! I adore your stones as well. Wear it in the best of health!

Yenny, you must be thrilled with it. Lovely! :wavey:

Dreamer, I really like the band you posted, though I was hoping to spend a little less!

Thanks webdiva, cachette, KimN, DF, Ginger, Monnyjay, and OrchidLei! I am really tickled with it!

Coati, I agree that it's lovely when we share within our community. I have you to thanks for sparking my love of old cuts. When I first came to PS, I saw your ring and thought it was the most gorgeous thing I'd ever seen, but didn't have enough knowledge to explain why I liked it so much better than the MRBs I saw. Now of course, the old bug has taken over and all of my stones are antique!!

Stargurl, I saw that band on eBay. Do you have a handshot for perspective? If so, would you mind posting it for me? Thanks! :wavey:

It's unbelievably beautiful Yenny! Your whole collection is just WOW! Really, really amazing! :wavey:
