Oh they look AMAZING! Just gorgeous!

I hope your ears adjust soon. I had to wear solid gold studs in my second holes for years before they would tolerate anything else, even WG. Something about the nickel content maybe?

Thank you btrflygrl23 & MC.

Maisie- They hurt because I''m not used to wearing earrings. As far as itching and burning, i always had that with white gold. I had them made in platinum just to avoid that problem (and it works!). I don''t think you should be perservering though as it very well may be the white gold. Then again, you''re in the UK right? I don''t believe they use nickel there?

Thanks geckodani

Yea, for me it is the nickel. Today there''s no pain but feel a bit of pressure. The red though is gone, thank god..lol

I got these from Whiteflash. I am fine with my ering which is white gold. Its just the earrings.

Maisie, it could still be the white gold.

A few months ago i got these hoops from blunile to see if my ears could tolerate platinum. They could. It took maybe 4,5 days to get used to them but no problem. Well not true, i had a problem with my hair getting stuck in them and they were being pulled alot because of it. But no itch/burn/redness/or infection.
Since platinum is cheaper now, see if you can find a pair locally and try it. Ears can be much more sensitive than your fingers to the nickel content.

Maisie, it is possible that the earring settings have nickel in them and the ring doesn''t. I''d definitely change the earring settings to platinum if you can.

Elle, love your earrings! They are almost twins to mine!

Thank you diamondseeker

Maisie, ears are much more susceptible to being sensitive to the alloy metals than fingers are. I have this problem too. What works for me is to have the posts of my WG earrings switched out to a high karat yellow gold.

Those are very pretty. I love the Martini setting in studs.
WF does an incredible job on those.
Enjoy, they look great!

Gorgeous; any more pics? Had to take a second peek! hehe

Thanks, MMT, bebe and Swedish bean

Maisie, Neat's right about ears being more sensitive to white gold than fingers. The changing posts is a good idea and one of should of thought of years ago!

Skippy, thanks again! I have one pic of them in the box that I posted in Beau's "Show me your Christmas bling" thread here in SMTR. I keep asking my hubs to take some outdoor pics of my stuff when the sun's out. So far it's been a,"you're crazy dear".

OMG those are just spectacular - truly stunning

Dani and Lauren, thank you both very much. I still stare at them in the mirror every chance i get.. hehe.

Hi! I love them!

I just got a pair for xmas just like those. And I was wondering how often people take out their studs? Is it safe to sleep in them? Shower? Or do you take them out every night? I am just concerned with wearing out the back because I plan on wearing them everyday!!!!!!!!!!

Hi gicki55-

I take mine off before bed and I don't wear them in the shower. Many people wear theirs all day and night though. As far as wearing out the backs, haven't really thought or worried about it. I don't think how much you wear them makes a difference.

edited to add: where are YOUR PICS???!!

So classic and beautiful! I would love to own a pair someday!

Thank you Steph. My favorite thing about either the martini or 4 prong is just how simple they look but flash brilliantly.

elle chris: Thanks for the info on the earrings. I will have to get on my pics later :)
