This review is written on my own accord. Sorry about the pics, as I can't find the original ones he took that are stunners. These are stills from his video posted at the end.

I recently purchased a 0.72 carat H-V2 princess cut AGS 000 diamond from Wink Jones and had him set in in a Blue Nile 14K engraved setting. I have always liked the phrase "price, quality service: choose two". Wink delivered on all 3, and in fine fashion.

1. Price
Not much to discuss here. Wink's price on the ring came in lower than 3 other vendors with whom I checked. I had been given 4 choices in my price range and had the AGS cert #s for them to check price. Another internet vendor could source the stone and dishonestly told me his cost was only $50 under a quoted price that was $100 over what Wink had quoted me. That sealed the deal, and the price was great to begin with. I was looking to maximize value, and I increased my budget to $3k total.

2. Quality
Not a lot to say here since I was arguably shooting for the highest quality princess cut stone currently available. It's an AGS000 and one that is fiery and full of life. I found that at the time of my search (right before Thanksgiving 2012), there weren't a ton of 0.65-0.75 AGS000 stones around outside of the normal Pricescope vendors and a few others.I've had the bench's setting work checked quickly by a local and very well respected appraiser and everything checks out nicely. Why did I go with wink?

3. Service
This was not a normal transaction. I reached out on a Friday via email, Wink emailed me cert #s to research, I chose the stone over the weekend, the shipped setting from Blue Nile and the stone got to him late Tuesday, he had it set Wednesday, and I received the ring Thursday to propose on Friday evening. Wink was responsive to email (I don't know that I emailed 58 times as another poster has mentioned), but there was a good amount of back and forth. He sent photos and a video when he was able and kept me updated on progress at all times including over the weekend while he was engaged in non-work activities. Wink is honest, trustworthy, and he is a stand-up guy who is lucky to do something for a living that he truly enjoys. I couldn't be happier with the end result.

So, one can have all three in rare situations. But what matters is that the fiance couldn't like the ring more. Wink did a fantastic job and I recommend him with highest praise.

Great review! I met Wink last year and agree, he is an excellent vendor with commitment to quality and loves what he does. :appl:

To be fair, the other vendor that told you his cost was higher may not have been dishonest. In my experience, suppliers give better prices to vendors they like, have higher volume, or have longstanding rapport with etc.

Fair point considering the difference wasn't much. Either way, my experience with Wink is an example of how business *should* work.

I have always had great experience with Wink! Congrats on a gorgeous ring and your engagement!!!!

It looks like a lovely ring...cant believe you and wink pulled it together in a week!

Gorgeous ring Infinity princesses are lovely, and I would definitely like to see one in person some day!

Beautiful ring! The princess cut always strikes me as being a very modern cut. I love the mixture of this modern cut with the vintage feel of the milgrain and engraving on the setting.

Beautiful ring! :appl: Nice job, Wink!

Another BEAUTIFUL ring from Wink - a nice guy and an excellent vendor!

Congratulations!

please post some handshots!!!!!!! Congrats!

I so happy that you had a great experience! The ring is beautiful, and I second wanting to see hand shots!

Very nice!!! I'm so glad you had a wonderful experience and shared it with us! I was very impressed when he stepped up and helped a PSer ship a sold item across the border- went WAY up in my books - Kudo's to Wink again- lovely ring and enjoy it!!

(but if you want to post a few more pics... I'm sure we'd agree to gaze longingly at them ... just sayin'!)

Wink is a lovely man and a great vendor. We don't seem to see him around here these days which is a shame. I like him a lot.

I love your choice of setting. Its very pretty! Congratulations on your engagement!

Thank you all for your kind words and comments, they are greatly appreciated.

I am still here when I have the time Maisie. It gets hectic at times and business keeps me hopping, which is a good thing.

I hope to see many of you at the 3rd Pricescope get together.

Wink
