Anticipation

Hello! I haven''t posted much on in this forum, but I definately have been living A LOT of these threads!!!

then this past weekend we went on a ring "browsing" trip and although my man was going to wait until january to seriously consider buying, i think that things may have changed -- for the better.

we came across a stone and a setting that we both loved

and i think that sometime this week my BF is going to make the purchase.

I have no idea when he would actual pop the question or have any idea about how he might go about doing it, but now that this is all about to become a reality -- i''m spinning (in a good way)

It''s so strange as much as i want him to ask soon, i kind of want to pause life at this moment. the excitment, the anticipation, the overall floaty feeling....

so, basically i''m going crazy.

The anticipation kills me. I read from a lot of these threads that sometimes the guys hold onto the ring for months!!! Why?????
I just bought my BF a Daunte Culpepper jersey online for Christmas. It came on Friday, and I know there is NO WAY I can wait that long to give it to him, because he''s really wanted one. I can''t keep gifts a secret for more than a week. How can they then sit there forever knowing they have the ring and not give it to us??
They''re out to torture us, is what i really believe. And my BF is doing a good job.

(I accidently saw my ring last week in his room, so I know he has it now)

The anticipation and excitment is very fun....at the beginning. Trust me, I know....

That feeling starts to fade after he makes you wait and wait and wait, all the while knowing he has the ring. So I hope you don''t go through that! I hope he proposes soon so we can see some more bling!

so i know that i said i wanted to pause this moment, but not so much anymore

yesterday as i was daydreaming all day at work (this process is a bit preoccupying) I got this cryptic message from my man:

"be ready to for a getaway on Friday afternoon, bring evening dress, and assorted clothes" - which is so exciting because i didn''t if he actually went through with getting the ring....

I had to know more, especially like what did he consider an evening dress, but this was all i could squeeze out of the tight lipped man of mine:

"a dress that you like to wear and think is pretty

other clothes: casual (jeans) warm tops, etc. just a few things. and some shoes you could walk around in, potentially on a trail..." (we like hiking)

then my co-worker had the fabulous idea that this could be the perfect excuse to find a lovely new dress, my man''s response about me shopping for a dress, because i know that the ring is a huge $$$ purchase:

"yes, but don''t break the bank, lulu!"

I know nothing else, he won''t say a word. i am trying to be patient and not keep harrassing him for details, but it''s HARD!!! super hard. i don''t know how i''m going to make it through today and then tomorrow i have to go back to the dentist in the morning -- how unromantic!!! maybe i''ll cancel that appointment?

OH man that would make me nuts!! just thinking about him proposing makes my stomach all flippy and i get all nervous. and teary eyed... i could imagine how''d i be if he told me something like that!!! Good luck to you... BUT it could just be a regular weekend getaway....possibly with a twist.. hopefully

i get all of those emotions too! it''s amazing how emotional this is making me -- like a rollercoaster --

i know that it could be a "regular" weekend. we were actually supposed to make a little trip last weekend, but in the end it never came together, so who knows

just getting away together will be delightful -- it''s been a while!

Yeah i love weeknd getaways we go a lot too, but i try no to think its "the proposal" everytime we go because ill be all crazy.....lol

now to add to my already hyper-emotional self, there are rumors that my bar exam results are going to be reduced on monday at 12:00am and i must admit i''m not feeling so confident -- it was afwul.

i''m trying, but it''s the nature of this cruel process -- it''s inevitable not to doubt yourself. i hope that the scores don''t come out on monday if my BF makes his big move -- i just want some time to cherish the moment and not have it crowded with other big things...

it''s a law school test and just about every other state has released their results which makes waiting a whole lot harder

apple: at first i was drawn to the green -- i have sooo much green clothing -- but then i thought that the red was a bit more bold and because i''m always wearing green and never red it''d be a little *suprise* of my own

i''m going to go see them in person and then decide
