Hi! Just purchased this antique platinum Art Deco/Edwardian mounting (from the 1930's ?) for my 2.6 GIA xxx round. I have been looking at antique Art Deco mountings for a while now (to have my diamond reset) because I'm not in love with my current setting anymore.
I have posted pictures of the mounting from different angles along with comparison pics of my current setting.
The mounting is in excellent condition with intricate filigree workmanship embellished with millgrain detail - the seller's jeweler refurbished the prongs.
Specs:
32 Single cut diamonds ~ .40ctw
Color ~ G - H
Clarity ~ VS 1 - VS 2
Metal ~ Platinum (Stamped 10% Irid Plat)
I have 14 days to return the mounting, just received it yesterday. What do you think? Yay or nay?
