Antique red spinel studs

[Upgradable]

These are 6mm round red natural spinels mounted in 22k gold cups with threaded backs. These could have been made to my exact specifications, they are so perfect for me. Red stones are notoriously difficult to photograph, and these pictures show a bit more hot pink than I see when worn. They do not match the true red of my ring, but are very believable as authentic stones. Here are some pictures in all but bright daylight.

Will these be THE pair for your set or do you still plan to use the other 2 spinels to make your earring set? I like the design very much. It is extremely wearable and feminine.

I've sent the other stones back. They really didn't match in size or clarity. Plus, I would have had to go through the process of have custom mounts made.

I really like these vintage earrings! Size and mountings are exactly my taste. The posts are threaded, but with a ball on the back of the screw-on backs. I also like the discs on the backs. Keep the stones from drooping.

Now I'm toying with a 6mm stone for a floating bezel necklace. It never ends!

Definitely a good choice to send them back - these studs look gorgeous and I'm sure they'll be perfect with a floating bezel!

Also good because it let me pick them up I know that, like you said, they're not a perfect match, but I don't have anything that colour and I'm sure I'll figure something out! Cheers for passing them along instead of hoarding!
