Antique ring made of 18K white gold and blue sapphire. size 6.75. I bought this about a year ago, have loved it, and had plans to restore the engraving, but recently acquired my dream blue sapphire (center-stone size). This means I am selling this gorgeous ring as I have very specific colored stone ring goals to match my future dream sapphire ring, lol.
The ring features five natural blue sapphires in a gorgeous, sparkly medium cornflower tone. Really fantastic color that never goes dark. The stones measure a tad under 3mm — I’ve tried getting in with my digital calipers to measure accurately but it’s difficult for me to do so due to the ring design. The band measures 3.88mm at the widest point on the front and 2.5mm at the thinnest on the back.
If you’re interested in re-doing the engraving, I have a master engraver’s name for you; the cost quoted to me within the past year was $150. If you’re interested in the setting itself, I consulted my local jeweler who said that in his opinion, the sapphires would likely be maimed when extracting them to retain the prong integrity. This means you could use the setting with your own gems but the sapphires would be likely be sacrificed.
Offering to PSers for $425/shipped priority in US or $445 for international. Venmo or Paypal friends and family preferred, but I’ll take Paypal “goods” if you pay the fees. No returns.
