HEY- I just want to add that I''d love to take naps in the afternoon!!!! Don''t think my bosses would like that !!! LOL

Yes, by all means speak with your doc!

On that note tho, Maybe look into fibromyalgia symptoms as well, I don''t believe anyone here mentioned that one. It can be a "catch all" label still, but there are some very real symptoms that keep the docs puzzled thereby over looking it sometimes. It can also take a great deal of time and several Drs. to diagnose. It can leave you exhausted after what should have been a long nights sleep but there is so much more to it as well.

Good luck in your search.

alright! lunch time, I finally have a second :)

First, and most importantly THANK YOU all so much, I was really overwhelmed this morning when I signed on and seen all the answers!
I appreciate it a lot...

I''ve had a hard time with the doctor before, it seems he makes weird assumptions and I never get diagnosed right.
I figured perhaps some of your personal experience could help along the way (and it did so much!!!).

I''ve made up a list of some of the things I should ask for, and what should be mentioned.
It''s funny because in real life, (meaning in my natural environment..not some small office where I''m sitting on a weird bed ready to be examined) I am very outspoken, and can communicate well... but as soon as I get in the doctors office.. I kind of freeze, and I never know what to say.

I''m not pregnant, but Milly thank you for that story!!

To those who have mentioned sleep disorder, well I will ask the bf to keep an eye on my habits and what I do when I''m asleep.

I do remember him saying in the past that I breathed really funny.. and that he was super worried one night (he said he kinda nudge me and I stopped) but when I sleep I don''t recall anything. Nothing major has been reported cause he usually sleeps heavier then I do.

I can say that I''ve never snored in my life until maybe the past year or so... so I will also note that (I don''t always snore, but it seems that I do sometimes)-whether thats something of importance or not, we''ll see.
But from now until the doctors appointment I will have him write down "behaviour" patterns from when I sleep.

HAHAHAH MOREMOREMORE, your post made me laugh... I think I missed part of it when I read through the first time...

Starset princess, I know what you mean by the teeth think...I think when i was younger I may have gone through something like that, but I went through the braces and my teeth are really straight now... so unless my tongue doesnt like me... its probably something else.. hehe

BUt to everyone, thank you SO SO much, its nice to have so many different suggestions,
I will ask about the blood work, the thyroid, sleeping disorders in general, hormones.. (I think I have it all?)
but I am going to go over this thread a few times over before the appointment, do a bit of research... be "prepared"

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!
(you guys made me love this board that much more... to know how great and sincere the majority of you are..it makes me all warm and fuzzy)

OKAy this is waaaaay too long (im sorry... thanks agaiN!!!)

That''s what is known as " white coat syndrome" Sparkly, don''t worry about it, plenty of people go through it

Hang in there Sparkley. One thing that might help is to write a list of all your symptoms so when you get in there you''ll have it to refer to in case you freeze up. Also ask about CFS, chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I had it many years ago and was very tired and achy. Good luck and let us know what you find out!!

good advice kaleigh. it is an excellent idea to write down your symptoms and questions you have and make sure you write down the answers you are given. it''s so easy to forget what was said during the course of the visit. don''t feel rushed, make sure you get the answers you are looking for.

You know, the most important part of sound healthcare is finding a doctor who can and will listen to you.

If you feel your doctor isn''t hearing you or isn''t paying attention to your symptoms, find another doctor PRONTO.

My husband tried to tell his primary care doctor about nosebleed problems.....she was completely dismissive and wrote it off to "oh, it''s winter and your nasal membranes are dry". She briefly glanced at his nose (BARELY), and that was that.

It was only through complete INSISTENCE that she finally referred us to an eye-ear-nose specialist. He IMMEDIATELY found that my husband had 2 burst blood vessels in his nose.......from hypertension. (You wouldn''t MIND, but the female doctor KNEW he had hypertension but INSISTED the nosebleeds couldn''t be from that). Wrong!

The E/E/N doctor took care of it, and we *promptly* found another primary care doctor.

Good communication with your doctor is a must, and if s/he is incapable or unwilling to listen to and/or give credence to information you are trying to provide to help in your healthcare, absolutely find someone else. No hesitation.

Great advice Alj. If a doctor doesn''t listen to you or take you seriously time to find a new one that will.
