Of course you do :lol-2:
It would be cool to have an Ostby piece.

Did you join the call last night? We ate late so everything got all messed up.

Yes I did and your name got mentioned.
In a good way of course!

Finally here! A few thoughts, first brown colored diamonds are really hard to photograph and this one is really light compared to the seller’s photos. There is no sun today (always the way) so these are the best I’ve been able to get. Definitely a chameleon, the most pink it looks is with the two white gold bands otherwise it is very champagne in color.

It is on the small side for my big fingers but it’s fun to own an Ostby piece, for me it’s more of a collectible than a regular wear piece.

Look at that puffy crown!
I love it. The carved details so pretty.
Another good choice, Yada!

Thanks, it’s definitely interesting to see a diamond have so many personalities, can’t wait to see it in the sun!

A couple of pics in the sun that came out momentarily. The camera doesn’t really capture all the color I see in person but it is really lovely in sunlight.

Thank you @springerspaniel, I didn’t really know what to expect from a brown diamond but they are pretty cool.

I love me some Ostby!
This was the engagement ring I've worn for most of our marriage.
Now, I can only say this is in the 'Belcher style' and a true antique because it's not marked at all. So, is it an actual Ostby? Dunno. The antiques guy was sure of it, but you know opinions are like...
It was still a very lucky find in that the 6.7mm spinel turned out to be real though very shallow(yay!). It's what started me on the love of natural spinel journey8)
If I could find another spinel(natural) in this particular perfect red pink in the 2-2.5ct range round, I'd be content forever. I've come close, but no cigar still.
I would love to pick me up an oec OB ring someday.

Not sure if this belongs here, but in case there are any OB lovers out there, just found this while searching deep into Ebay for van craeynest pieces that aren't marked as such lol

Thanks @HHtv this is my first brown/champagne diamond and it’s fun to see the changes in different lighting.
