any special plans for New Year's Eve?

My hubby is not the type of guy who enjoys putting on a suit and going out on New Year's eve. In the past we've occasionally gone to a family party at another couples' home, but this year, we're both so exhausted that it's going to be really nice to be in comfortable clothes or pajamas having a nice dinner in front of the TV. A movie marathon sounds good. Home, safe, away from drunk drivers, eating when we're hungry, sleeping when we're tired. Perfect.

The more you drink, the more fun it gets. :naughty:

Okay, i agree about the more you drink, the funner it sounds.

Apples to Apples is AWESOME! Too bad we moved away from all our friends, because that sounds like crazy fun.

DH has a broken foot (and just had a plate inserted in it), so we are pretty limited. We had planned to go to dinner and a bar, but that is out since he can't stand very well right now. It looks like we will be stopping by an acquaintance's party. Maybe we can make some new friends to play A2A with next year.

I'm going skiing for New Years Eve and New Years with one of my best friends and her husband. We're checking out a new ski hill that was bought and opened this season by a New Zealander - he's hired a NZ band to play this week and tomorrow night. I'm super excited, though it's going to be SO COLD tomorrow (so far looking like a high of 7 degrees all day tomorrow). Just hoping the roads will be ok in the AM!

staying in - don't want to be on the road with the drunks.
and whatever football is on - I'll be watching, with my glass of bubbly.
(I'm so exciting - Not)

We're not going out on New Year's eve. I think I said the same thing last year when this was asked... I do not like to go out b/c of concern of drunk drivers! The only difference this year is my son wants to light off fireworks, so Dh & him may get some. Not sure about that as I don't think we are allowed to light them around here. lol!

I'm going to get the kids a bottle of sparkling cider and I will be drinking. Oh, and I think we'll probably rent movies.

Maybe we're boring, but I'm just not a fan of driving around on holidays that many dedicate to getting drunk. Being on the roads on Thanksgiving and Christmas are the most I'm willing to risk!

I just want to sit, chill with a bottle of cold beer and watch my kids laugh and enjoy the evening.

Oh, and it's COLD right about now. I think it's suppose to be in the 20s tomorrow - another reason NOT to be out on the roads.

Probably going to go out to eat somewhere and then we'll celebrate at FI's house with a few of his brothers & friends.

For some reason, I have no desire to go out and spend 130$ on a ticket to get into a bar.

I'm buying me some patron and I'll be good to go...maybe some sinfully pink (which I have to say goodbye to soon, for nursing school).
oh no...are you sure? :(( ..is nursing school worth giving up pink?...
