Any thoughts about this ring?

That looks like a nice diamond. Can you post the link to the actual diamond so we can see pictures of it too?

What kind of setting were you thinking?

It is better than the average diamond for sure, but I don't like that it is a little deep and faces up a little smaller than it should. I had diamonds that size that were ideal cut and they were 5.85mm. I think you can get a better ideal cut stone than this one. Keep depth less than 62.3.

Not sure if you're interested in SI1 diamonds, but Brian Gavin Diamonds has a 0.748ct G-SI1 Brian Gavin Signature ideal cut diamond that is priced similarly to the WF Expert Selection H-VS2 Expert Selection stone you linked to, but the BGD diamond has the 5.85mm diameter and is higher color at G - I'd just check with them to confirm it is eyeclean to your satisfaction. http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/d...ls/0.748-G-SI1-Round-Diamond-AGS-104062031032

I don't know if you are also changing your ring setting, but there is a slightly more expensive BGD Signature stone (0.786ct G-SI1) with diameter of apx 5.95mm, which should easily fit most stock ring settings intended for 6mm diamonds - just check with them to confirm it is eyeclean to your satisfaction. http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/d...ls/0.786-G-SI1-Round-Diamond-AGS-104062031035

I think BGD offers a PS discount - not sure if it is same as the wire discount or in addition to the wire discount, but do let them know you're a PS member if you contact them, so you get the best price available.

[FYI: I did check WF's site for some options for you coming in close to the price & carat weight of the stone you had posted, but didn't really find anything, that's why I went to Brian Gavin Diamond's site.]

I am going to a local store to check a loose diamond. What points shall I check?

My preference of the above selections, would be

and the price is fantastic for that stone. I also support contacting BGD directly about a PS and a wire discount. I think together that may discount by approx 5% further... but that's an "I THINK", so do call first!
This one looks good too.
I am going to a local store to check a stone tomorrow. I am not sure if I can make a good decision...
I told them I want ideal cut and >H color. + EYE CLEAN. what else? I really want H&A...

you seem to be intent on buying from a local store and are asking for what you should look for. you have been shown some seriously top quality stones. If you are not going to buy from one of these vendors then I would suggest that whatever you buy --and whoever you buy from --come with documentation of stats comparable to what you are being shown here with comparable paperwork.

Thank you. I will definitely do that. I am afraid that I will be so nervous and forget something important.
I went to the local store because I needed to try the bands on , I couldn't pick one by just looking at them online.
