Anyone have a photo comparing a 1.2ct to a 1.5ct?

Thanks luvmyhalo who does not own a halo

I have seen that thread and there is not the *exact* comparison. From what I can tell, though, a 1.3ct compared to a 1.6ct is about the same mm jump, and it is noticable to me.

Did you ever have halo? I wonder every time I see your name.

I don''t have any... but I was looking at a lot of measurements to figure out if I wanted to move from a 1.2 to a 1.5. My 1.2 has a great cut and faces up like a 1.5. It wasn''t worth the move for me overall... I''ll just save up for my 2.5

What is the rule? 10% but that''s on measurements and not just weight right? Because I found a ton of cushions that don''t face up bigger than mine at 1.5... And I know it''s different for fancy''s.

Did you try printing out that size chart ant comparing your diamond to it?

Ha ha! I did have a halo when I first joined PS. I loved it at first, but then decided it wasn''t for me. I''ve been following your other thread. I''m one of those crazy serial re-setters, so I have no sound advice to offer. I can''t wait to see what you choose though!

I think I need to see diamonds in person to really know, and the paper cut outs never help me!

But seeing the diamonds side by side did help a little. I think fancies are a different story than RBs, because ideal cut RBs vary less in size than fancies might for the same ct weight.

Since your cushion already faces up larger, I don''t see why you would change it!

If it is not one thing it is another, eh? I have not even gotten into the realm of settings ,despite wanting to change mine for a few years. I hate wasting money, so I am waiting until I hit a size I can live with for a while before getting a new setting. I thought 1.2ct would be it, but of course, not I am thinking that instead of a fancy or expensive setting, why not upgrade instead??

OK, someone give me a hand here. This image shows two diamond that differ in diameter by about .4mm, but it is a .80ct versus a 1.0ct diamond. This is about the same mm difference as you would find between a 1.2ct diamond and a 1.5ct diamond (actually that difference would be .5mm).

Since the image is 2D, can I ignore the carat weights and simply conclude that this is what a .4mm difference in size in a round diamond will look like? Can I extrapolate that a 1.2ct diamond next to a 1.5ct diamond would look similarly different?
