Anyone Heard of Israel Diamond Supply?

I am currently looking at two diamonds.............

A local Jeweler
Princess

VS2
Polish: VG
Symmetry: G
Cutlet: None
Fluor: None
Table: 72%

GIA

It is a pretty diamond and good cut in my opinion.........but they want $9000 for the diamond...which I think is pretty high.

I told them I was also looking at a diamond in Tulsa which is a

for $8000. She then proceeded to tell me that some places in Tulsa like Israel Diamond company have sold stones with fake GIA certificates. I have heard only good things about Israel and plan on getting a independent second opinion on the stone anyway. The local jewelers were telling me the 8000 price was to low, but according to my research it seems to be right where it should be for this stone. It is their price that seems to be off. So I was wondering...........

1. Have you guys heard anything about Israel Diamond?
2. $9000 for an I colored VS2 1.56ct stone seems a little pricey right?
3. $8000 for an H colored VS2 1.52ct falls into the mid range of prices for that stone correct?

This is a serious charge.

If she's prepared to back up this statement with anything like decent evidence you should contact the BBB and the police. If she backs off and agrees that she was jsut blowing smoke and slaming her competition in order to make a sale, you should walk out the door and never return. I've never heard of Israel Diamond Supply and have no idea what their policies are but at least one of the players in your story is a slimeball and you would be wise to figure out who it is before you give up your money.

I did a search using the box at the top right of this page, for old posts about this company, and they have shilled on this site in the past (ie pretended to be satisfied customers, when in fact it was the company employees who posted).

It might have been one well-meaning but misguided employee, or it might have been the CEO, who knows. It''s not a good sign though.

Anyone have anything else to say about Israel Diamond Supply? I have been in the store a few times and looked at stones. They are extremely nice and helpful in showing me their products. The young woman assisting me was telling me to have my purchase appraised by an independent appraiser to value before I insure it. I have many friends that are satisfied with purchases made through this jeweler, but was just curious what some more people on here had to say about them...?

Hi - I purchased a 1.08 princess cut GIA certified from Israel Jewelers in Tulsa, OK 7 years ago. I loved the ring and quality. I lost the ring in the ocean in Biloxi, MS 4 years ago. I filed an insurance claim and received full compensation for the diamond. The GIA was REAL not fake!! I have purchased many diamonds from this company and getting ready to purchase more. I live in another city and going back to Tulsa to buy the diamonds.
