I’m not sure this is vintage but wasn’t quite sure which forum to ask about this. Does anyone recognize this stamp? Thanks in advance for any info you can share!
What you’re asking about is called a “maker’s mark.” The hallmark identifies the metal and its purity, which in this is 14k - 14 karat gold.
I tried the usual suspects (Lang’s, 925-1000, Global Gemnology) to find your makers mark, but without luck. Have you tried a reverse image search?
There is a tool called “trademarkia” that has an extensive list of U.S. registered trademarks, both old and current. You might be able to find your mark there - but it will be a bit of a slog. There are over 800 pages of “Z” trademarks, BUT there are only 21 pages of “Z” trademarks for class 14, which is jewelry! Unfortunately, there’s always the possibility that the mark on your ring wasn’t registered.
Trademarkia provides a free, fast, user friendly search of USPTO registered trademarks. Also, with trademark registration you can protect your brand in 180+ countries. Fast and easy. Starts at $99.
