Ok, I just left Nordstroms with my friend and she loves this stuff. Her face looks great but she always had good skin. She is hooked. The clerk gave me her lecture, then very generously gave me a ton of samples. She said I would see a difference within 3 days to a week. Nordstroms is having their big sale this Friday and she said if we bought some products she would load us up on samples, but to come in on Friday for the sale. (Commission boost?) Well, I love the freebies - but at $90.00 for eye cream I''m sure I am paying for them over and over again.

I have done a quick search on him and there is some negative press that claims his cosmetucals(sp) are not what they claim.

Anyone tried this?

try QVC

$90 bucks the same (and probably less %) of glycolic acid I can get at Rite Aid for 10 bucks.

Nordstroms has a return policy that as long as you have the receipt, even if you''ve used the product, you can return it. They talked me into something and I was skeptical and the lady reassured me that if I went home and tried it for two weeks (or longer) and didn''t like it, to feel free to return it. The product didnt do what it was supposed to do so I returned it no hassles....so if you tried it, and didn''t like the results, you can return it.

This was only a $30 product though, $90 is a little steep for me.

As for the original question, I''ve never tried Dr. Perricone products though.

Never tried it. But, if you are unsatisfied with the quality of your skin and have the money to spend, I totally recommend Fotofacial RF. It is Intense Pulsed Light therapy for the skin. I am doing five treatments of it combined with Microdermabrasion. I''ve had 2 treatments already and my skin looks fabulous. I never have had bad skin. However, I had some scarring from picking at my face when I was a teenager. In two treatments the scarring has faded. My skin is more even in tone, my pores have reduced and I am a very happy camper :)

I use Vivier and Skin Medica products on my face recommended by my dermatologist to maintain the results of the laser therapy. They cost less then Perricone''s.

I totally believe that! B/c it's all about exfoliation. I have been thinking of a peel ... but for now I'm using glycolic and salicylic acids to exfloiate and I"m loving it! I wear, a wrinkle I had between my brows disappeared!

Can I ask what the price is per session? Did you go to a spa or a derm. I'd like to have a derm do it I think...

Have you checked out http://www.cosmeticscop.com/learn/reviews.asp ?

Granted, you have to be careful with her opinions:

1. She sells her own brand of cosmetics

2. She believes cosmetics should be inexpensive, so I sometimes feel like more expensive products are discounted by virtue of the fact they are expensive.

I go to a dermatologist. She also, however, owns a spa and you can choose to have your treatments done at the spa or at the office. I chose the spa. The fotofacial room is very "doctor''s office" looking even at the spa. I have my microdermabrasion done a week before the fotofacial because it helps with the treatments. I get a facial right after my microdermabrasion also which is great. I pay $175 for the micro and facial and the treatments for my skin are $275 per session, which is discounted since I am under 35.

Its soooooo worth it! Everyone keeps asking me what i''ve done to my skin ;) The only drawback is that you have to completely avoid the sun on your face and that''s not easy to do in the summer!

Hi,

I''ve tried just about every face product and found that Perricone''s peptide face serum (via a weeks worth of samples) worked nicely in smoothing out my skin. . .but, it''s too expensive (like $195). . .

One reason I won''t buy his products is that I frequently buy my face creams & other stuff at Sephora and EVERY time I''ve asked about Perricone, the sales girl has steered me to another brand. None of the girls there are biased to any particular company so I take this as a sign that Perricone isn''t the best!

Also, since there''s no way of knowing which brand will work, I think it makes more sense, if you''re going to spend $200 to buy three products from different companies rather than just from Perricone.

I use just about EVERY brand and rotate around. . .

I like his vitamin c cream but you need to keep it in the refrigerator or else it oxidizes and turns brown. Yuck!
