I’ve been meaning to ask. I came to it late, binged season 1 and then caught up on season 2, now finished.

There is a lot I liked about it and I lot I didn’t like.

One thing I did not like like was the gratuitous nearly-X rated moments.
They contributed nothing but shock value.

Apparently HBO has a history of these cheap shots.

But I'm not so much of a prude that it's going to prevent me from watching content that is otherwise excellent.

I preferred season 1 I think, but still enjoyed S2. To me, S1 was about imperialism and I related to seeing water as a healing element. In S2 it was more about sex/power (so I get the xrated scenes). I also didnt realize many of the scenes importance until looking them up after lol. For example, when Aubrey Plaza was walking in Noto and all the men were like swarming her, this was from a Monica Vitti scene from 1960 - so cool (in that movie, a bunch of rich folk go yachting around italy and woman goes missing).

Yes! I really enjoyed it. I did not expect the ending at all. Caught me by surprise.

I was so impressed watching season 1. It seemed so…. Fluffy. Till it wasn’t.
Loved season 2 as well
