I have an appointment with them today. I wouldnt use the guy in chandler...while he might be cheaper I didnt like his credentials. So I will let you know how these people are today...heh

Well I must say that was strictly a very professional organization. Wendy was pheonominal. Professional. She even pulled out an idealscope to let me look. Very nice. very very nice. Its a clean office enviroment and the documentaion you recieved is very professional. she even checked my setting. to make sure it was secure. I would definitly recommedn there services.

Zikronix, thanks for sharing your experience!

no worries

That is great to hear! I will be meeting with them on Saturday.

the onlything I dont particulary like is that said they found some discrepancies. The show faint flouresence on the long wave but not on the shortwave. My GIA Cert shows no flouressence at all she advised me that it could be due to the lighting distance. My theroy was ok...Does the gia use both shortwave and longwave or just shortwave or just longwave. She also showed that it was a premium cut which should be about right...but they also showed that the table size was 68 vs 70 according to the cert. she aslo states that the polish is good vs excelent according to the cert and the symmetry is very good which matches the cert

then again it also says a disclaimer which says these are true and accurate based off of the equipment. used blah blah blah. expect some variations especially if the stone is mounted..which mine is. It also says that an appraiser my look at the stone at a later date and come to a different conclusion. So i am going to ask the gia to recertify it maybe im also going to ask the GIA to give me one of there new certs that conatains cut grade if it pertains to my stone.

I may ask AGL to reinspect the diamond as well. Still over all i am very pleased. and i suspect know fishy bussiness. I have contacted the GIA about these differences to see what they say.

GIA often under reports fluorescence on the old certs - faint is not a problem.

If you have GIA recert your stone it will have to be dismounted and sent in loose - also expect it to take a few weeks.

There are often small differences between the proportional measuring devices (OGI, Sarin, etc.) and manual measurements of set stones and the cert...not a problem.
